Awww you're so cute! I wake up screaming and bawling my eyes out... Every.single.time. :( Last surgery I held my Dad's hand begging him time take me to another hossy because the nurse just didn't get my pain. I felt 10/10 & she kept saying "you're in discomfort." :( Ahhhhh!
I've had a couple drains put in to my abdominal cavity because after surgery I had an abscess and now I have inclusion cysts. Inclusion cysts are really rare, so you probably won't have to deal with those. Some people come out of surgery with drains. I haven't had a normal recovery though, so don't worry too much about it! :)
I just watched this and know EXACTLY the saline taste you're talking about. I had a PICC line for twelve weeks and I had to flush my line multiple times a day after my vancomycin infusion. I had that taste w every flush. What a funny memory.
I am with you on that experience with the saline taste during a line flush. Of course my awareness of what was really happening and why is not as astute as yours.
