I hate drs. They are such liars. I have a problem with allergies and I started wheezing and these drs. gave me Predinisone along with corticosteroid inhalers and I became borderline diabetic, plus the were telling me that corticosteroids is not a steroid! I was still wheezing and they still wnted to give me prednisone even after I told them that I am a few points away from being diabetic! The predinisone only stopped the wheezing while I took it, so it really didn't help me because I wheeze whenever I get around an allergen to this day! I too gained weight and I am older so I really don't fee like going to the gym eventhough I just came from working out. It's a necessity now whereas, when I was younger, I was just doing it to maintain. Now, I'm wondering if prednisone causes fibroids because post menopausal women aren't really bothered with that, but I am! I think it's from taking that damn prednisone. I also got a moon face and insomnia from too much cortiso in my body! I would always ask the drs. if I have cushing syndrom and they would say no, okay, well, why in the hell won't my face go down? I stopped Prednisone 2 years ago and I am still bothered with insomnia and this fat face. Now I'm trying to find out if Prednisone has anything to do with the formation of fibroids because according to this dr., she claims I have multiple; not 3 or 4, but multiple. What the hell does not mean! I'm just going to get a 2nd opinion
Just got out of the hospital. 6 weeks, 3 weeks of icu. All sorts of complications with what started as an absesed appedix. We had terrible troubles with my leaking connections, infected skin and poorley placed ostemi to my new bags at the hospital. All it took was 1 night at home on youtube researching and some 3d printed augments I made to get my seal right with the bags I have atm. I just wanted to thankyou for empowering all of us with your content and others like you. The new age is really amazing, thankyou for helping making it happen.
My wife is severely disabled and i have been caring for her ileostomy for 10 years. Was never told how to care for it and had to learn as i went. I do things they say you shouldnt do . Like i use cheap baby wipes to clean everything..i use a wafer that is precut to next size bigger than the stoma and use paste to fill . Use adhesive remover wipe then skin prep wipe then while still wet i put the wafer on . Still have the first 1 oz bottle of powder ( very rarely need to use it). Only problem weve ever had is she had an allergic reaction to the glue on some wafers in the very beginning. Takes about 4 minutes to change including emptying the bag before the change. Have never had any problems . she can go up to 7 days before change. Way i see it is, keep it simple , consistent and clean. Change in the morning before eating and never have a leak issue slowing the change .. I shower her without covering it and even used a balloon wheel wheelchair and took her in the ocean without covering it .... She got soaked . Has never afected the ostomy ,skin or stomain any way . Dont use deoderant ...keep it very clean when emptying and it doesnt smell. Keep it simple , consistent and clean.
Your positivity is impeccable! Most people would have gotten so frustrated with this especially trying to film a video and having things go wrong. However, I love that u left it as is. Otherwise people may have been very upset with themselves, not being able to do it perfectly every time. So them knowing that these things are common. Is probably very reassuring to them! You seem to have such a great spirit! To have to deal with this at such a young age especially as a beautiful young lady. Had to be stressful and overwhelming at first! I just want to say, even tho idh a stoma. I truly appreciate you making this video! Hopefully u continue to educate those who are new to this type of living with a stoma. You are absolutely gorgeous btw, and you seem like a very bright and vibrant person to be around! Stay strong girl, u are doing great! Wow, you are still so very attractive, even with an Ostomy bag. I'm 41 and found out that I may need this procedure done and feel like my life just ended. Thank you for these videos and giving me hope to continue living...

I use that same Hollister pouch in a different size 18112. They leak on the bottom like that all the time and they have for years. I’ve talked to Hollister several times and they finally got me into a bag with more of a urostomy type of end on it. I’m using 18012 drainable ostomy pouch with soft tap. It doesn’t leak at all but it develops an odor after 2-3 days.
I noticed my stoma was not normal by the way it was out. So, I pulled slowly and was able to get it out more. Just a little and it worked much better. when I got out of the hospital, I watched this video. It helped me Big Time! Thank you for this video!
I have never done any drugs let alone Anavar but I was considering it till I came across your channel. Thank you beautiful soul. This makes me decide to not ever take Anavar or any types of Drugs at all. Thank thank you 🫶 you are a hero and saved me.
