2nd Dick Clark (American Bandstand) appearance. 2 songs, and a short interview. 4/16/83 The video is jumpy, but no sound distortion, and pretty clear. I tried to cut the frame rate in half to fix it, helped a little, but less quality. Also featured this episode was the 1st appearance of Bryan Adams. / laurabraniganforever

She was special; her voice was unique in my opinion. I can't believe she wasn't more popular. I like watching her live videos, especially the ones where she is very energetic, with simple but classy clothing like here. Somehow the ones where she wears layers or jackets don't interrst me as much, probably because they restrict her movements. I like seeing her move around, stuck within her character.

I found out the next day. It was a tremendous shock. Singing must be a dangerous game. So many singers that I liked have died at early ages.But Laura’s who I miss the most.

That “Deep in the Dark” was a thunderbolt out of the blue. It was mind blowing. Multitalented she was. Miss her so much. I wish I could go back in past just to meet her and tell how great she was and even try to save her from things to come.

Like many other songs she covered, Laura gave this a sound all her own with her powerful voice. This is the same song as Falco's Der Kommisar, and her version (in english) is just as awesome as Falco's.
