I made this for lunch today and I asked my friend beth around for lunch we have known each other for 30 years I am 76 now and we both loved your dish so much I love lasagne but I find it hard to stand to do it now but this recipe as Beth said it’s just like lasagne without the cheese sauce and I told her go to RU-vid and look for Laura Vitale she will never let you down with the recipes everyone of your dishes that I have made I have absolutely loved I wish you to be in around when I was a young girl just married and learning to cook thank you so much for sharing your recipes hope you and your family stay safe much love Christine New Zealand originally Wales😊
@@Marcel_Audubon Marcel I think you missed the point. Laura always insists on trying the food for us before it gets the chance to cool down and inevitably says “Hot!” as she tries to taste it. It’s a trademark we love about her. Also, I’m gay. So…. 😉
I love quick meals. This looks super DELICIOUS.!! I'm ABSOLUTELY going to try this for my family this week. Your recipes are ALWAYS AMAZING!! Thank you, Laura! ❤
I just made this recipe follow each step and everyone was so pleased , this will be part of my weekly quick meals really simple but full of flavor . Thank you , Laura many blessings to you and family .😍
"Could take more, could take less, I'll keep an eye out for you", I love that. It makes it feel like Laura is physically in the kitchen with us helping us make it 🥹
I just love these super easy and quick recipes for dinner . Its amazing to do on the days i work and come home to make dinner. Otherwise i do like taking my time to make dinner from scratch on my days off
Laura your right, sometimes you just don't have the time to make a traditional full-blown Lasagna - one of my favorite dishes (although all of your recipes are somehow my favorites!). Looks delicious and smells good too ( hey, humor an Ole Bronx lady)
Oh Laura! OMG!! Love it. I actually made something like this the other day. I used Rigatoni cuz I had a package and a half so it worked out perfectly especially since a few friends stopped over around supper time. Lol. As always my dear, thank you for sharing❤️😊
It's delicious and so easy to make:) Definitely less work than with the traditional baked version:) I added diced bell peppers and a few diced mushrooms to the meat (wanted to use up what was left in my fridge:))... One thing, though - keep to Laura' s measurements:) I cooked a little bit too much pasta (15 rather than 12 oz) and the lasagna turned out a bit dry (you know how quickly pasta absorbs liquids, right? :)). Nonetheless, it turned out beautifully delicious, and was equally great when I re-heated leftovers the next day:)
I'm gonna try this. But I have to ask.... My wife is Italian and her family is 2nd generation Sicilian Italian. What the heck is with the addiction to cheese? It's seriously an issue in our cooking.. She will load our fridge with random cheeses. And in the evening, drink white wine and a cheese platter. And she says it's totally normal. I'm like...... Huh?
Ok, so I just made this and followed her recipe to a tee, not near enough sauce for that amount of noodles. Knowing how noodles soak up sauce i fortunately could see there was not going to be enough sauce and I cut back on the noodles. So just be care following her recipe of her website, you need more sauce.
neeeeeds more fat. its so dry. the 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil isn't enough. If your adding ricotta and pasta sheets anyways may as well go for the fattier cuts.
