The message of this song reminds me of an old poem. "Two roads converge in a yellow wood, I take the one less traveled. And it has made all the difference" - Robert Frost
I love this song. Realize she was only sixteen when she got runner up on American Idol right behind Scotty McCreery so I imagine the girl she comforts in the video is her younger self. People can be cruel. But you're right, everybody lives their best Instagram life. Personally I only have one so my little brother can see what I see because I travel for work and I promised him that. I'm not a big social media person.
She just continues to make amazing music. For all those that complain that there aren't too many true country artists you cannot deny for a second that this girl is country Born bred raised country girl who is the same person as the 16-year-old who auditioned. This song still gets a lot of AirPlay down here. But she's got a bunch of songs on the radio now. Couldn't be happier to see someone succeed
I'd like to point out a part of the video that you either didn't see, or at least didn't comment about; The part where she takes the phone away from her younger self and replaces it with the microphone. Sweetheart, don't let the haters get you down, keep being you. That's literally the whole point of the song. When you're doing something right, haters gonna hate. Just remember when they hate you that they hated Jesus first. You keep doing the Lord's work. You've brought so much joy and happiness to me and my husband watching your reactions to some of our favorite songs. I know I've told you before, but he's a vet and some of your videos open dialog that helps to strengthen us and helps him heal. Thank you for what you do, Billy. I'm praying for you.
I love her. Following her in IG is fun because she's hilarious and marches to her own drum. I respect everything about how she's handling her life and career. She's so talented.
I love that song so much it has such a good message of what I see is that just make the best of your situation, it might have a different message to someone else though
My granddaughters introduced me to this song and they said Grandma this is your song! It is very inspirational and I love that you did this one thanks Billy!
Little Miss Lauren co-wrote this song with Meghan Trainor. These young women are positive role models for not just young people but people of all ages. I’m a 60 year old grandma from Oklahoma and I absolutely relate to these lyrics. Thank you for taking the time to react to a song with such a positive message… ❤️
I did not know that! They are both wonderful women and positive role models. Meghan Trainor has never gotten the respect she should I think when she was first signed they wanted her to be the bubblegum blonde and those songs are iconic they were hits for very long times and will forever be known my 10 year old knows her music. But the song she just released is very much her. I knew she wrote her own music didn't know she was co-writing with other people but that makes this song even cooler.
Literally no idea how I found this channel but I’ve never hit subscribe so fast. Insightful, funny and after hours of watching videos I’m addicted haha. Keep spreading light
I have been watching your videos for hours now!! You bring such joy to my heart with your caring personality and kindness. First, I want to thank you for your service to our nation and also send my thanks to your family for their service and sacrifice as well. I’m a mom of 2 boys and my oldest was in the Army Infantry. He was injured in a training exercise but hopes to get a foot back in the door of some type military branch. He is 22 yrs old. I sent him some of your videos to watch. I’m hoping he will reach out to you just as another soldier bc he needs that Camaraderie right now. I’ve also got some suggestions of songs for your videos. I haven’t noticed a Tanya Tucker song so I was gonna suggest “Bring My Flowers Now”. Now she is an old school country artist going back decades but this song is from her new album. It has some other great songs too. Another song is “Highwomen” by the Highwomen. It’s a group of lady singers got together to form a group and they done a remake/rewrote a song called “Highwaymen” that was done by some old school country male artist like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. I’m sure so many more songs will come to mind and I will share them with you. I love music and how it can bring us ALL TOGETHER!! I hope you enjoy the songs and I’ll be looking for new videos. Oh and both songs will more than likely bring out BYYSE. By the way, I share my RU-vid with my youngest son Caleb so it’s mostly his info but I am a 42 yr old wife and mom, Hollie from Alabama
Lauren Alaina was the second place winner of American Idol Season 10. She was up against Scotty McCreery who also was a great singer. They both were really good on American Idol. I actually was rooting for both of them, because they were both into country music.
Could You do Lauren Alaina songs Ladies in The 90s and Queen of Hearts? I also just wanted to say that you do a wonderful job with these reactons keep doing you. :)
Yes playing outside was the thing when I was growing up. Take a stick and make it a sword and 5 minutes later take the same stick and you have a rifle. Put your arms out and become an airplane. To be a child again…🥰
This is really the only modern country song i like, everything is turning into pop but i like the sound of this one and the lyrics behind it. The point is to do your own thing and be proud of who you are even if its not popular and no one likes you. I do have a couple issues with it though, first is she says don't let world decide whats beautiful but the world does decide that and there's nothing you can do about it. You may have your own style and thats fine but don't expect people to appreciate it, you can't force people to change their perceptions on beauty when their the ones consuming it. My other issue is kind of one of the same as the first, she says not letting the world decide beauty while simultaneously wearing makeup which means she's allowing the world to decide what she looks like to keep the mainstream image of beauty.
I know you're a veteran so I'd suggest reacting to the video Military Stories Compilation by the YT channel MikeBurnFire. It's two veterans playing Fallout New Vegas while talking about their experiences in the Military. The guy who has blue captions worked in the armory for the Army and the guy with the red captions was a Marine tho I don't know the exact job he had. Anyways i think you'd enjoy their compilation of them just telling short stories of when they were in the military. Also, imma probably post this on a few more of your videos in hopes you see the comment and if you do sorry for the couple more comments I'm going to do and if you don't see the video sorry for everyone else who's seen this comment before lol
Billy could you please react to Why by Supaman? He's an Indigenous rapper, and fancy dancer. He combines hip-hop and Crow culture together. He really cool, and a great role model for us Indigenous kids!
Please check out a less known artist Maggie Rose. She has range like other more well known artists. Good at story songs like Looking Back Now. Or Preacher's Daughter to attitude songs like Mostly Bad. To being in love like I Ain't Your Momma to romance with Body On Fire after got married ❤️. Please check these out
She had a bad body image of herself through her high school years, she thought she had to big a bottom ect....I do believe she also had a eating disorder, but don't quote me on that part.
If you get time please take a moment to watch Colbie Caillat "Try". I feel like it's one of those songs that has such a positive message but somehow just got lost and I'd love to hear your feelings on it!
This is her story. All the hate came during and after her American Idol journey. She struggled with all of it and became bulimic. I’m sure you can find her audition and her journey through American Idol.
Please react to Sober by Demi Lovato and her grammy's performance to Anyone. And in that order too so it will makes sense! Warning, definitely emotional ones.
It's because she lost about 50 pounds after American idol, she looks like this now, so people were critizing her because of the song and her losing alot of weight
Lauren Alaina dealt with a lot of body shaming when she was on American Idol as a teen and developed an eating disorder. In more recent years, she has opened up about her struggles with body image and self-acceptance. She's definitely had an uphill battle and has grown so much as an artist, a songwriter, and as a person. Would love to see you react to her American Idol audition or performances so you can see how far she's come!
