I’m not familiar with that comparison but I often find songs that sound like earlier songs. In fact, when I was about 12 and started listening to the radio around 1960, after a few years I thought the songs were starting to sound like earlier songs. After a while I got used to that and didn’t really notice as much, but even more recently there are certain songs that do sound a lot like other songs. For example, Rihanna’s *Stay* -the opening sounds a lot like *Colors of the Wind* . Imagine Dragons has two or three songs that sound a lot like earlier songs by others.
Ms. Daigle also has a song (I believe she co-wrote) that sounds just like Adele’s first big hit. Adele could sue her and win. Daigle’s “You Say” sounds like a copy of Adele’s “Someone Like You”.
