Okay, important news about the ram victory sound: I asked Nightmargin (the game's main composer/artist) about it on tumblr, and apparently it may just be an originally-created generic victory theme. It was actually made by the other main dev Eliza Velasquez though, and I don't think Eliza is as present online to ask her about it. Still, really interesting that they might've created a victory sound SO generic that we all thought we'd heard it before, lol.

Perhaps they accidentally tapped into some sort of primordial Essence of Victory Theme XD (and thank you for looking into this for me!)

That pancake scene was so cute, so much so that I immediately went up and made myself some Swedish pancakes to enjoy while watching the rest of this video.

Excellent! I love pancakes. I should make pancakes for myself, maybe this weekend...

I heard the victory fanfare and also thought it sounded familiar! Then I realized that was because I made fanfare with the same melody last year. Somehow, I got pretty much the exact same melody by accident while just trying to make something generic... (I'd seen people play OneShot before, but I didn't even consciously remember the melody. Weird how brains work)

I for one am really enjoying following along with your current playthrough of this game! Also, at the risk of being too repetitive in terms of a reply I made to another comment, I can say that the sheep victory sound at 1:27:10 strongly reminds me of the Earthbound "New Friend" fanfare (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jrS-ofmA0Is.html), though I do see that someone else actually asked the game's composer about it and the response was that it could just have a generic sound to it. Anyway, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and I look forward to these streams resuming soon!

Note: Somehow the comment I made in reply to arachezy was appearing both as a reply and as its own comment on this video. I deleted the instance that appeared to be standalone, and it seems to have gotten rid of the "reply" as well. I guess at least this way I'm no longer repeating myself.

Yeah, in the original, the first computer you talk to straight-up tells you "You may quit whenever you'd like. This is permanent failure and murder". Also, Niko does eventually get used to the "black outs" and will eventually start calmly welcoming you back instead of panicking.

Also, if you came to that hallway with the blocks before saving Alula, Niko would say "The pathway is blocked... ...by blocks!", and you actually wouldn't be able to go any further.

Re:sheep victory sound I believe it's Final Fantasy victory sound(?)

No, that's the one victory theme that I would recognize no matter what, unless this is taking really big liberties with the rhythms and notes... hmm! I'll keep thinking on it.

@@LaurentheFlute Mhm, when listening side-to-side to them both, I think that what it reminds me of. But you're right and they are quite different so I'm not entirely sure. Timecode for the sound for future convenience: 1:27:10 I really hope someone will solve this mystery cause it's killing me how familiar it sounds. I spent my evening going through various victory sounds trying to find something even remotely similar xD

It kind of sounds like FFIII's "Item Get" fanfare, a variation of which was also used in the Origins version of FFI.
