Over the past year, I have fallen in love with this Channel. I love all of the wonderfully deranged people featured, but these two have become my absolute favorite players in NRB along with Adam "Mr. Monopoly" Blampied. And having them go mano y mano like this was a joy to watch. I was surprised that they didn't somehow both get eliminated at the end of this, though.

I fully appreciate that NRB could provide more broad content: review more new games, play more popular games… but NO! Instead they cater to their fans by giving us more ridiculous meta content that would make new viewers scrunch up their noses but make us love them even more🥰

Sully makes me laugh out loud in an empty room. What a pure treasure. Also, Rosie’s in-role dead pan delivery is a revelation. No wonder she’s a pro actor. Absolutely delightful. I’m loving this series so much more than I suspected I might. Keep’em coming! Also, Twilight Imperium is clearly on display. When will NRB summon the temerity?

Spoilers: - - - - 1:05:23 what if Sully had used Tiger with his right-side piece (his left) to move forward 2 spaces? I don't think Laurie can counter that. Then Sully either does Goose on the piece next to him, or Crab on the throne (assuming you can jump over an opponent, which I think is a legal move). He doesn't win since it's not his Sensei on the throne, but he is guaranteed to knock down one of Laurie's pieces. Am I missing something here? I might just be an idiot.

I haven't watched yet. But now that I've confirmed that Sully will still commentate for Sully's games, I need Sully and Rosie to both progress in this tournament at least far enough for them to face each other.

I don't think the NRB team fully understood how much more pressure they would feel in these 1v1 tournament games, but I have to admit a little part of me has very much enjoyed the extra stress and discomfort in addition to the usual manic unravelling that Mr Gracey has been known to deliver

These LOTB matchups are wonderful and hilarious! I love watching Sully's mental gymnastics and emotional hysterics in and out of commentary. Rosie remains a gem of NRB as ever! Lallie Brake's rant on games forcing to TAKE TURNS -- those monsters! -- inspires true laugh out loud moments. This tournament is a brilliant idea for the NRB group and channel. Was it just me, or did Brian Children seem slightly biased in favor of Sully here? I wonder if he had money riding on Sully or something. 🤔 ... That was down to the line! I expected Laurie to steamroll (not that I thought Sully would do poorly, but more that this felt like a game Laurie would excel at and is also one of his favorites) but this was an even, tense match! Well played to both participants! 😄

I think after Lord of The Board, two player games could be done - interview style - for people not on the channel. Kind of like Hot Ones but board games? Any thoughts about doing these as a youtube premiere? At the moment, the lengths of the videos help to indicate how many games are played which you don't see when a video is premiering, so at least that audience would be 'unspoiled'. I don't think there is a solution for the pre-recorded ones beyond adding dead space at the end, or having to make extra content

Quick note on the editing, it is just a bit frustrating having someone go "Wait, how do I stop that" and desperately want to actually see the board but being stuck watching faces until Laurie or Sullivan move, so you can't actually puzzle over it yourself.

It is criminal that we only get 1 upload a week on a Saturday. Brian Children with his very much unbiased yet highly Sully faithful commentary was good especially the reaction for Laurie's win 😂. It was also nice to get a little bit of Fiasco in this round as well. This tournament and all the content has been fantastic. I feel a bit bad for Laurie in round one because I saw a move that he had at 13:20 where if I understand the rules right he could have won by playing frog to take a pawn then force a checkmate or possible win with mantis if sully didn't catch it. Then game three if Sully had of used crab then tiger he would have taken game three practically from the beginning.
