Wow! The way that volcano is spewing out lava it looks like a huge blow torch. I feel so sad that its devouring homes and livelihoods in La Palma. But also amazed at how the fury of nature can be. Thank you, for keeping us around the world, informed.

Thank you for dedicating so much time to show us all you see. The constant explosions are horrendous and the flinging of debris high up in the air! It always reminds me of the stories told by those who survived Pompeii and left for us to read about in the book :The last days of Pompeii. I read it in German when I was a little girl and then later saw the figures of the dead who died in an instant showing what they were doing their last moment on earth. The sounds today reminded me what they must have heard in their last hour and what it looked like when the ash rained down on them smothering all life. Is it my imagination when I thought it was worse today? I wondered if you and Nina felt any fear. It has to be quite an experience even though you spend a lot of time with the active volcano in Iceland, so take great care and I hope to see you tomorrow!
Greetings, this is an excellent perspective of the extent of the situation. Also a great overview of the power of the earth mother. It is of course very devistating to all who lost their material possessions and business. Your records of events are appricated. Blessings, and especially to those affected.
The boulders are thrown up but appear to be heavy, they sort of linger before they slide down the cone's edge. I appreciate the long views of neighborhoods and the landscape.

La Laguna lava flow stopped after the cone collapse Monday Night and lava is moving more south on original lava flow more south from original eruption back in September.
I know this might sound silly but with the lost revenue of the banana plantations, maybe La Palma can sell the ash online and make a revenue of that. Many millions of people, I think, would pay for some! Maybe make bags of the ash and sell it. Like souvenirs of this volcano eruption. And that could raise a lot of money for the people who have lost their homes and businesses. Just an idea that I thought of because this is a huge event that people all around the world are watching. I think maybe this is a good idea. What do you all think about that?? @Gutntog
The pressure is so high that it seems not enough is being released. The hole stays the same size, but the kettle keeps growing. Worrying, please be careful.
It makes me think that the delivery system is bigger than the outflow capacity of the vents, therefore the gasses push more forcefully like putting your finger over a water hose, this might also explain why there is more than 1 vent breaking through any weakness as the lava is ejected from the mantle. Yes considering that most ppl. of La Palma are not wealthy, there does seem to be many quite substantial houses, so I think that there was plenty of speculative builders constructing for the rich tourists and investors.
What a disaster; I'm so sorry for the people affected by this. This is where our foreign aid should be aimed at, rather than just helping to further over-populate an already seething Third World!

How big is the current cinder cone. About the size of La Laguna mountain if you picked it up and set it on the side of the mountain where the eruption is?
The cars in the town might be from the scientists who were doing lava research right where the lava stopped. He posts videos from today right near those cars. He is very interesting to listen to. I'll share his RU-vid name in case you want to see.

So this is how a hot spot volcano erupts! My God! I prefer your friendly volcano in Iceland....which is having a sleep while the earthquakes sort themselves out! I do believe it will erupt again. I don't know where all this black ash is coming from unless it is caused by the basalt exploding in the tube in the crater.....does anyone have the answer? Afar TV said the networks agreed to stop showing the lava because they didn't want to show homes being destroyed. None of the live feeds show the lava anymore.
