If you watched him play at UCLA, he wasn't nearly as good as his brothers. I don't think it ruined his future career. Iverson had talent but he got arrested for the bowling alley brawl. Didn't ruin Iverson's career.
@@RayNLA I'm pretty sure he meant for his son to be cool with the Chinese while in jail in order to survive in there not to try to get close with the president of China and get a pardon that would be crazy lol
There's a difference between a MISTAKE and a BAD DECISION. Example: Trying on multiple sunglasses in a store and forgetting that you had a pair still on your head when you was walking out. That's probably a "mistake." That could have easily been rectified. HOWEVER........ Picking up a pair of sunglasses in a store. Putting them in your pocket trying to sneak away WITHOUT paying for them. Is a bad decision. .....and also a crime 🤨
Man you a straight hater. I was fat ass kid, in high school I would do dumb shit like sneak into cinemas and steel chocolate bars from candy store’s, it took my mates and I getting caught for that stuff to straighten me out. Now I’m a law student at the best university in Africa ( University of Cape Town). Point is, we all make mistakes and sometimes you don’t really think about the repercussions until something goes wrong. If you turn around do the right thing when given the chance, you shouldn’t be persecuted indefinitely. That’s BS.
USA crime is out of hand because you don't get punished for things like thieft ,fighting, drug use etc. They wait until you do something horrible before you get real punishment vs teaching someone a lesson early in life when it matters.
@@joojoobaw think it should go… if you’re arrested, automatic 30 day rehab, if you have another drug offense, 60 day rehab. After that jail is ok with me lol
Imagine having a Dad who grew up in the hood of South Central LA who saw real crime, he gives you the life he never had in the suburbs, makes sure you succeed and go to good schools, helps you become a star athlete, you get into one of the best schools in the country, then he gets you a car and a fresh apartment for college then you steal sunglasses and lose it all 😂😂😂😂
@@xSalamzdefinitely NBA is in bed with CHINA after that they made sure bro wasn’t making it he would’ve been a 2nd rd draft pick fasho, u seen what happened to Kanter or anyone else that speak bad on China they get blackballed out the league
He was thankful his daddy didn't want him going on television thinking Trump but his coach and the school literally said you better go out there in a press conference and Think Donald Trump along with the rest of your teammates that got caught up in that got caught up in that BS.
@@jsnstreetbeats3917 You can actually go look it up. I mean it made news several years ago. What do you mean? How do we know this now? They literally set it on the news 🙄🙄🙄
Stealing a pair of sunglasses is a dumb idea. It's even dumber when you realize his family's rich and his Dad would just bought it for him if he just asked.
😊 if Trump didn't help his son(s) get-out-of-jail, then how did he get out of jail, I really would genuinely like to know... And I'm not dismissing what Lavar just said either... Trump has his side and Lavar has his side... And then there's the TRUTH... LOL I hope he elaborate on it just a little bit more... This has been a great interview so far... 💯
He's just a hater and a liar. Trump was in China November 8-10th of 2017. LiAngelo got locked up November 7th, 2017 and November 10th 2017 the charges were dropped.... Plus even UCLA told those players to thank Trump for getting them out.. But everyone will just ride the wave of hating on the President for whatever ego they have. Which is funny because as big of ego Trump has, Lavars is 10x that.
@@beery6659facts I mean I keep telling people about this dude but everybody wants to kiss his ass. I mean even his sons said in an interview years ago that they actually did say thank you to Trump even though daddy didn't want them to say that Man, if Trump did me that type of solit I would kiss the ground he walked on man. I would vote for him for sure for sure in every election
LaAngelo Ball committed a crime in a foreign country that also happens to be a communist country (not a foreign ally) being a highly visible american citizen/athlete that has negative implications for the United States of America that's no different than any american citizen who commits a crime in non democratic nations the same way Brittney Griner was in prison i (9 years prison sentence) in Russia and many other americans serving prison terms around the world where Americans laws do not apply. Its more than just stealing a pair of sunglasses from a store in China, a foreign country because the politics of foreign criminality by a citizen of the United States of America is a huge deal.... that "one single mistake" costs Gelo a NBA career.
@@1stnamebr406facts I say it all the time!!! He too heavy in weight. He like a shorter, slower, less-athletic, Carmelo Anthony. And we see what happened to him. Bron couldn’t even get him a ring.
@@slowmotioncontent He is nothing like Carmelo in size. He's not tall enough at his position. Has no handle and ain't that great of shooter for the big leagues. Yes ...slow.
I’m not a Trump guy at all but I remember the situation well. And Trump absolutely had something to do with getting his son out. His son even publicly thanked trump. Can you imagine the President saving your son from 10 years in a Chinese prison and then you talk shit about him on the internet. What a scumbag.
@@tracypeterson9352 sounds like he jus innerstands that one mistake dont define who a person is considering his son made one mistake dat fuked up his whole career then havin to see his brothers get drafted.. ts would eat ya soul if u let it. @@rudybrooks3722 you think so huh? I can't stand that thief Trump. All politicians are lying, undercutting, aholes....I don't like people who never own their mistakes. It has nothing to do with race you dickhead.
You can’t make mistakes in other countries as Americans if you go to other countries it would be wise to understand the laws of that country. Like Morocco you cannot hold hands or kiss in public and is punishable by 10 years in prison
being very wealthy and a freshman in college, u have no excuse for stealing glasses in china... u way too old to not know better, if not there something wrong with him or his parents! it didnt help his career, but i dont think he would have made it anyway..
@@SquallLeonhartVIIIMaybe not millionaires yet but you seen the house they had in high school? That was like a multi million dollar house before any of them were making money Lavar must’ve been well off before they were big
Lavar is being ridiculous. It was a big deal Infact a very big deal, it's sparked an international incident that required diplomats to get involved.. Wether they helped or not is not the issue. My problem with lavar minimising the incident is that some other kid may not understand the danger of misbehaving abroad. A little humility never killed anyone Lavar, however I am always a fan of BBB.
The man who never left the 6th grade playground. His only hope in elevating himself is to attempt to step on everyone around him who has always been better than him in any and all things AND ride the success of his sons that can’t stand him.
Yup I agree. He's a very arrogant man & I never cared for his antics. All 3 of your sons CHOSE to play basketball?? You sure they didn't wanna do anything else?
But the fatherless bandits in the comments swear Lavar is father of the year. His sons can bounce a ball but they have rocks for brains, especially Liangelo.
Lavar is the kind of man who would stay that LeBron is not a Hall of Famer and that LeBron's whole career was mediocre at best. And we all know that LeBron is the best player to play since MJ.
Let’s not make it ok . He should of left him in jail . No other country would a president get involved , in a kid , stealing sun glasses , he was there to represent us, USA , I mean , the whole thing going to another country , headed to nba in the future , in a communist country , sad, that he says it just some sun glasses , ok , if it was just sun glasses he should of just bought them, or left them there in store, I mean the arrogance involved in a guy who. Sticks out like a sore thumb in China , to think that it’s ok to just walk away with something , makes you wonder , is this his first rodeo , I mean , I don’t think so, to make the decision to steal doesn’t just something you just decide to try once in China . Show some appreciation for trump to even acknowledge, he could of made a call, and just let him be like the girl from wnba , and she didn’t even steal .
I’M NOT A TRUMP FAN BUT C’MON MAN HE DID GET YOUR SON OUT OF THAT JAM AND YOU COULD OF AT LEAST SAID THANK YOU BECAUSE YOUR SON PROBABLY STILL WOULD BE LOCKED UP IN CHINA TO THIS DAY!!! 🤦🏾♂️
Zo and Gelo r now dads they got weak pullout games. Melo needs to wake up but he a reckless driver and is out dating 30 yr old models its cool to just smash but other than that nah.
