My father was born and raised in Istanbul. He loved cooking his beloved Turkish cuisine in our US home. I miss him so terribly- he passed in 2005. Your channel always brings me such comfort as it reminds me of my heritage and all the wonderful memories it brought to me. Thank you.
I love it when you and Burak both cook! I used to work for a restaurant owner that was from Jordan. He taught me to cook many beloved foods from your region of the world. He passed a few years ago. I miss him dearly! Burak's energy reminds me of him! Thanks!

Refika has a recipe video called Lavash in 5 Minutes where she shows how to cook non-puffed lavash. It's very easy and quick. No potential problems like with balloon lavash.
@@Refika I made them in my oven on a pizza stone. They didn't puff up quite as much, but mine were much smaller. Still, EXCELLENT with some toum & leftover roast lamb!
