Lavenham is one of the best preserved medieval towns in England. It used to be the 14th richest in Britain in medieval times, and made it's wealth on wool industry.
Today it is home to the Crooked man's house who inspired the nursing rhyme "there was a crooked man"
It was also used by filmakers in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" to show Godric's Hollow, Harry Potter's parental house and the place of their death by Voldemort's hand.
The village also had a train line for 100 years until 1965 when it was closed due to a lack of usage, ofering today a hiking 2 hour path to a nearby village.
