I suggest soaking fenugreek and slippery elm overnight and straining the seed out in nut milk bag. Fenugreek seed in your hair is a nightmare to remove. Separating it in the nut milk bag is easy and you can reuse the seeds a second time.
Jerzeegurl524 you grind seeds or purchase the powder. Add hot water and let soak 2-24 hrs. I suggest separating the product from the pulp. Nut milk bag is good.
You can do both. Fenugreek can be taken internally and applied topically to hair as a conditioner. This recipe is for hair use. To consume it make a tea and drink it as you would any tea sans slippery elm bark powder.
Felicity Davis no, but you need to make sure that you separate the seeds. The longer it soaks the better the conditioner. I always soak mine overnight. It becomes extremely thick.
