This band showed up on my tiktok. A week later I was sitting front row at their concert. This is a musician’s band for sure. Lawrence is the music revival we never knew we needed!! 🥰
@@012jacob012 eh, its just a different sound. The recording sounds cleaner with so much more elements to it that you can't create live but it misses a bit of the energy in the live take.
Kudos to their audio team and the camera crew for a clean wide sound and a dynamic variety of shots. And then, Lawrence is just really tight and true on stage live! Add that to the on stage energy, and this is a band I really need to see live someday.
It's been a long, long, time since I fell in love with a band... not just with the music, but the sense of life within the music. I actually thought I was long past that stage.
You know? You’re absolutely right. Especially from the first time you hear them. I remember a couple of those bands (Brand New Heavies) and there are definitely similar elements in Lawrence’ music.
underrated part of this performance is that Linus seemed (totally just assuming things here) more reserved and a bit uncomfortable on stage right at the beginning but then the absolute ENERGY from the performance and the crowd opened him up
What a wonderful tribute. My Jewish grandmother passed away the week before I was supposed to fly home to see her. It was going to be a week full of her cooking and then passing down recipes. Alas, they’re lost, but the memories of her live on through our family and now my daughter, her namesake.
I've listened to this version on Spotify almost every day since August. I lost my grandmother when I was very young, but only began coming to terms with it within the past year at the age of 26, as she was like a second mother to me. This song has helped me process a good bulk of those complicated feelings, and I thank you so much for that.
Just 2 days ago I was on the stems website playing around with this song for like an hour, letting each little part of it absorb into into my brain. Watching this has me in more tears than I've shed in a long time, and hearing your story about your grandmother just added to the emotional punch of this song. It feels like it should play at the very end of a coming-of-age film.
Same feeling here.... There´s something so special about this song and this live performance... many many tears! Would you care to share the stems website? Dont know it! I would love to give it a look! Much love from Barcelona!
Y'all are funkier than week old collards!!!! I LOVE Y'ALL!!! Keep pushing!!! The world is about to know what we already know!!! Lawrence is the triple truth!!!
Saw my first Lawrence show in Cincinnati last weekend and absolutely LOVED it! Was so thrilled to be seeing them live and they DID NOT disappoint!! Fantastic live sound, great energy, so fun to watch them having so much fun on stage, and the musicianship is just incredible! Cannot WAIT to see them again!! Thank you Clyde, Gracie and the band for a wonderful experience!
The harmonies, are so nice!!! I really enjoyed this... i love music so much! I discovered this band a couple months ago, and this performance has made me like it even more. LAWRENCE, you guys are great! 🎉🎉🎉
Such a beautiful dedication! 🎤🎹🎷There is no doubt that your proud grandmother was with you on that stage like an angel watching over you... 👼🏻 Smiling as you all sang and waiting for the her moment at the show’s end to step center stage to sing in her usual fashion....”and many Mooorreee!!” 😇 🎶 ❤️
You folks are both invigorating and beautiful. I’m going through all of your videos now, all of them. I’m crying. I am deeply grateful to you and for your work.
i always add 'and many many many many more...' you guys are sooooo awesome, i'm a brand new superfan and subscriber (just today, 28 Jan, 2022!), i have already listened to several songs, you guys are AMAZING!!!
