I have no doubt he will do a good job and make Singapore a better wonderland for the rich and 'elites'. I am neither rich nor an elite, as a misfit in their eyes I better look for a 'third' world country to move to and retire before I get really priced out or chase out.

I hope Lawrence Wong will be down to earth and understand how the common folks livelihood is and bring down costs for all people. Unlike LHL who is born with a silver spoon, I hope he who come from a humble average family, understand the hardships and difficulties faced by many common people. The only qualms I have about the PAP and LHL is the costs of living, partly caused by external factors but partly also caused by his policy where he jack up the GST to 9% and PAP raise it from 3%. The open policy of LHL also open up the gates for foreigners to take up jobs, squeeze the living space of Singaporeans and also jack up the living costs. Yes, this is good for country as it has more business and more revenue collections, but does it mean good for the people? I don't think is good for the people if you ask the common folks in the streets.
