I got Exclusive because I was looking for a more grown up, more niche version of Layton. It was, but it turns out more niche, more complex doesn't mean better. I prefer Layton
Im facinated with how our noses pick up different components to fragrances and interpret them based on our socialization, experiences, culture, environment etc . People will smell things that I never would have picked up. Like vapor rub
I got a sample of Layton because of the hype behind it. Unfortunately it doesn’t perform well with my skin chemistry. The smell is nice but it doesn’t project the way I’d like it to. Even my wife can barely smell it on me. I mainly use this sample as a layer with Ysl tuxedo. It makes for a great combination.
when I got my bottle of Layton 3 years ago it came with an exclusif sample. I hated it. fast forward to last week I decided to give it another spray and wow I love it. I believe my taste changed Layton was my 2nd "niche" purchase I jut ordered exclusif and it will be my 22nd
Hey Melissa, can you get your sister in another vid? Her opinions vs yours is great. I was watching your older vids together and would love to see if her nose or opinions changed
Thanks Malissa, I've gotten in the fragrance community recently and I've built up a nice collection of designer frangraces and now want to expand to niche frangraces and I really want to start with Parfums de Marly, which 2 do you recommend for a guy at 21year old? I'm thinking of pegasus, Layton and maybe Herold, I'd love to hear your opinion!
Definitely Layton & Pegasus will work for someone your age. Both are 🔥 but both are also fall & winter scents and at the price they cost I would suggest getting one and going with sedley or percivel instead. So you can wear a PDM in spring or summer then switch to another PDM for fall & winter
Layton and Percival, then Herod if you want a sweet tobacco vanilla scent for the winter. If you decide to get Pegasus then I’d go with the exclusive, it’s more masculine and has more depth without being over the top.
Yeah Layton is good, but too bright and sweet. 8/10 for me. Layton Exclusif is a perfect fragrance in my opinion. Complex, luxurious, and still ridiculously mass appealing. The best fragrance I've tried so far, and it's not close
Exclusif is really fantastic. It smells its price tag. Not an everyday scent for me really more of an occasion scent which fits perfectly in my lineup. Layton to me is exchangeable (especially for the price) while Layton Exclusif holds its own place.
@@gandhipalanisamy8390People online always say its mature, but no one I know has that opinion. I'm 27 and it suits me very well. It's a fresh, energetic, confident scent. Yes it's a serious fragrance, but I'm curious why do you think it's only for people above 40?

This is a Layton clone but it smell 99% like the layton and it has a way better projection. Al Haramain Orientica Amber Oud Execlusif Extrait De Parfum Bleu Eau De Parfum
