I was in TN and shot during high heat. High sun, high humidity. Hand gun was slippery, hands n eyes, face sweating like a mofo shooting downhill slope with optic at battery fail. That learned me some things !

Ya know what i feel stupid about but now i know, I carry at work. I drive a truck at work. 90% of my day is behind the wheel of a truck. Ive never thought to to dry fire draw train from a seated position 🤦🤷

Some experience broken firing pin tips with excessive dry fire. Some even beat the breechface out of the slide. So, use snap caps with a cushion where the primer goes. Dont jse solid aluminum ones that dont use a cushion. Thkse are just function checkers.

Thank you nolan!!! I am so sick and tired of all these "tactitube" dudes ONLY doing tactical reloads teaching everyone to drop their mags... 99.9% of civilians trying to learn this stuff is for a SHTF situation and retaining your mags is extremely important due to the fact you dont have a FOB your going back to for a resupply... the best way to train reloads is to actually utilize your dump pouch!! I appreciate you actually touching on this !

I tried almost everything in this video. I suggest everyone who's dedicated to carrying every day do everything in this video for the simple purpose of getting more familiar with a number of issues. Treat this training like stop, drop and roll we all did it from ages 6 and up but when do we plan on getting set on fire to implement it? Exactly.

I did my first competition shoot 2 weeks ago. The dry fire really helped but i must also stress that simulating recoil would have helped me a lot. So i definitely need to shoot more! Being stingy on ammo can only get you so far. You brought that up near the end, definitely important. Also I'm buffer than you, Nolan.

From my personal experience, no it doesn't but it does contribute to wear on mechanical parts. I would advise for you to stick to regular maintenance scheduling like if you were firing live rounds

Depending on the firearm but most modern fire arms you'll be fine. If it's a lower quality life expectation before component replacement maybe 1k-2k rounds fired as a rough avg. Higher ends are going to be more in the 7k+ range. So assume a dry fire is about .5 of a live fire for safety checks. S&W M&P pistols are definitely a lower dollar example of higher quality so it's not always all about the price.
