Pressure washing a shed out and painting the floor of my pit. Thanks to coo -var paints for supplying the paints Teal & Mackrill Limited are the paint manufacturers Www.teamac.co.uk
Great video Tom the minute I saw your misses I was thinking that it would be funny and you had already done it 🤣 it’s a good job she a great sense of humour 👏👏👍👍
Hahah that pressure washer on the excavator seems like something I would do. Everyone would say you don’t need to do that, you’re not going to save any time by over complicating it. Once you show them then they say “you’re a genius!” lol. Work smarter not harder as they say.
I once welded up an under carriage spray wand ×2 to some square tube and then mounted it to the rear trailer hitch to clean the old driveway here. Worked a treat and now I can do it lickety split in the future😂
It was cool to see Mr Hewes wearing a Tom Lamb hoodie in a recent video. You should approach him about some sort of collab, maybe do a farm tour on each others channels. People love a cross-over of shows, and it's great for sub growth when you appear on someone else's channel.
There's nothing says you've made it like hot and cold running 10w40! It might sound silly, but having a smallish tool-cart that lives down the pit is great, just an easily wheel-able table to put stuff on while you work, and you can put buckets/drain-pans on it so it's not such a long drop from the drain bung!
Lovely job on the pit Tom & Mrs Lamb, the non-slip floor is defo a big safety first... That footprint is as good as a signature :) Looking forward to the next shed build and seeing more farm machine servicing in the new pit...
You should make a pressure washer attachment for thr excavator that uses the coupler used for the bucket! Zip tie a pressure hose on the boom like the hydraulic lines, and leave it on year round. Then to pressure wash, you can just grab the attachment, quick connect the hose, and get to work!
Pit looks great. You can buy yellow Anti Slip Stair Tread/nose in yellow. I put some adhesive strip anti slip on epoxy workshop steps after a mishap - haven't had an issue since.
You are genius! pressure washer on the excavator🤣Love it. A really smart man, jack of all trades. I watched You use silicone on the concrete wall joints and thought it my be better to use mortar like bricks and point / brush it after flush. Your corn wouldn't stick because the joint would be much fuller and better.. Probably cheaper than that tub of stuff to just mix up some muck as well. Still a really nice barn though! Good content.
It’s not really lazy. It’s logical. Because you wouldn’t be able to reach the high points without a scaffolding tower of some kind and you would get wet and as you say about it being tiring on your arms. So it’s logical. And good painting Mrs lamb. Tom you did ok. 😁
This is getting more like a home decor channel 😂. How about wallpapering the sides of the pit with rural scenes 😂. Good work Tom but remember not to paint yourself into a corner in the future.
As Derek Trotter once said when grandad & Rodney painted a Chinese takeaway, “a little dab will do ya”. Although Del let the black cat out, & number 43 was off the menu. Lol Great job painting the floor & steps.
Tom you need a sponsor from Vevor as they do all the air oil dispenser and stuff in America that some of the farmers use, it looks good stuff 👍 ❤. Great job btw.
You know what they say tom, work smarter not harder. Love the tape job ive had this idea before but since i didnt own the farm i didnt get to put it into practice.
I was so expecting you to fit the brush to a broom handle. It sure looks smart, and you say you are using it every day? It makes you wonder how you ever managed without it it?
Great pressure washer hack Tom. Suggest next time you paint the pit floor ( and you will.do) use a roller and tray. Easier on the back and you get a better coverage. Same when painting the pit wall. it's far easier and quicker with a roller.
I’ll tell you what Thomas, I can tell you’re a new skool GPS farmer. You’d never have painted yourself in to a corner if you’d worked your way out of a field unguided ;-)
Its to bad you didnt dig an extra little hole at the end to drop a little sump into so you could pressure wash it all out constantly and above the pit as well and just pump the water out. I guess thats still possible though. The first video showing you using the pit I was thinking how much I would want to hit the undersides of those things with a pressure washer or at least hose them off well having full access like that XD but it would make the pit a mess if you cant wash and drain it.
Nice job Tom, I think your Mrs is a better pinter than you are! Joking aside, that is one really smart practical inspection pit. The pressure washer on the digger is a gem.
