That’s disappointing that LDG discontinued the RT-600 remote tuner. Maybe the characteristics are similar in the RT-100, but with lower power restrictions. I’m guessing that the 20 meter resonant vertical has an extremely high SWR on the 80 meter band, and the tuner worked with that very high SWR. Did the remote tuner drastically improve the receiving performance on 80 meters, using the 20 meter resonant antenna? I have a 20 meter resonant dipole that receives almost nothing on 80 meters. Perhaps the remote antenna tuner can improve the reception when a resonant antenna is used far from its resonant frequency.
I have the same tuner. Another video elsewhere shows how to connect the RT-100 to the yaesu radio without the rc controller. I am guessing it may also apply to the RT-600. My RT-600 tuner works real well and I like it. Good video 👍.
Thank you for showing this tuner. It looks like a good tuner except for one thing. I wish it could connect to the radio to lower the watts and know what the frequency. This what the other LDG tuners do.
Really nice easy to understand demo. I have the SGC235 antenna coupler and paid $1200. for it. This tuner looks very good for a lot less money! Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I own one of these and it is in fact a fantastic device. Looking for another, sadly LDG discontinued it. Let me know if you want to sell yours ;)
