This soap is one of my favorites from Barrister & Mann. It has a beautiful blend of citrus, fruit, spice, and Oakmoss. It's a very "clean" citrus cologne that can be used at any times. Nor rough scent notes and no scent steals the show. This is simply a winner. A very safe scent to be used in any occasion. The balm is slightly runny but is not a problem (scent matches the soap exactly). The aftershave Splash has more of the citrus notes. Enjoy!

I have had 2 shaves with B&M Le Grand Chypre and absolutely love it. It has a wonderful scent and it lathers beautifully (Omnibus).

After the discontinuation of Cologne Russe, I stocked up on a few more shave soaps, some splash, beard oil, and balm before that excellent scent disappears for the 2nd time in history. I went back into my B&M sample collection, and I think Le Grand Chypre stands to replace CR as a daily driver along with Seville. CR moving to special occasion or nostalgia shave.

Nice review! Haven't given B&M a fair shot yet. I tried a sample I've picked up from a WCS sample pack, but lathering skills were so bad I thought every soaps was bad, lol. Definitely need to revisit some of these artisans that have been around for awhile.

This is one I would have people try first, or Seville. Both are very, very good refined scents.
