She has so many iconic characters on her résumé and she still gets that emotional 🤧🤧🤧🤧 Perhaps because most of her work was in comedies or romances and that made people not take her work seriously. Personally I think her talent should be recognized a looong time ago but that's a win that we are gonna celebrate over here!!! Congratulations Amanda ✨👋🏻👋🏻
Yeah idk why people keep mentioning mean girls only as if that's her only good performance. She was so good over the years and proved her versatility. Dear John, Les miserable, Mank, mamma Mia and the most underrated one before The Dropout which is A Mouthful of Air.
@@darky1376 Amanda is great in a lot of movies but Mean Girls is truly her most iconic performance. Let's be real, when someone thinks of Amanda, it's always Mean Girls that come first without a doubt. It's the same when you think of Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad is always come first to your mind without a doubt. People acknowledge her other movies especially Mamma Mia which was highly acclaimed for her performance but Mean Girls is a classic so make sense why people keep talking about Mean Girls when it comes to her
Watch Karen Smith in Mean Girls and Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout, it's hard to believe that it's the same person who played both characters. That's to show how good she is. She deserves this, she's a chameleon in the miniseries. She literally became Elizabeth Holmes in every way 🙌🙌
@@josebarrozo7620 I already saw Mank like twice when it came out and again to prepare myself for the Oscars. I mean that was a David Fincher movie, of course she's gonna be great in it
Amanda killed it with her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes... The way she started morfing her voice and face and general body language as the series progressed was insane
From being Karen Smith, the dumbest member in the plastics, to Sophie Sheridan to Cosette to Marion Davies to being an Oscar nominee to Elizabeth Holmes to an Emmy Winner. Y'all better appriciate how far Amanda has become 🙌🙌
This was a tough one - all the ladies nominated were really fantastic but Amanda did such an incredible job in “The Dropout.” I was seriously in awe of her after watching it.
2004: "I'm a mouse. Duh.." 2021: transforms into an existing entrepeneur who only acted like she was an empathetic person Amanda is top notch right now. It's great to see how she has developed and mastered the acting craft like so many others
Totally agree - the level of competition in this category this year was nuts. I thought it might be Sarah again (literally did not realize it was her until searching IMDB after watching 3 entire episodes), but Amanda was phenomenal as well.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!! She totally deserves it after all these years!! Her performance in the Dropout was amazing! She has proved to be talented time and time again!😆😄💖
I am just SO thrilled for her! “The Dropout” has to be one of my favorite series ever - because you feel like you are really watching Elizabeth Holmes. A timeless performance by a seemingly great human
Absolutely BRILLIANT performance as Elizabeth Holmes. I knew as I ended watching the show that her Emmy was waiting for her. That screaming in the final scene. Congrats and congrats!! Incredible and memorable performance Amanda!!👏👏
When I saw that scene of her screaming out in anger and despair at the end of the final episode, I knew... I knew in that moment that she won the Emmy. Not nomination, win... So proud of Amanda and how far she has come. This is also a shut up call to those who just regarded her as a pretty face only.
Amanda has grown and simply transformed as an actress so much! Form Karen in Mean Girls to this. Love the range in the characters she's played and how she challenges herself.
I really like how she thanked her doggy Fin. Pets are a huge part of our lives , every day and they are only with us for a short amount of time. Very sweet.
i first saw her as lily kane in veronica mars. a very memorable character despite being dead and then as karen smith in mean girls. two great roles. crazy to see how far she's come since then.
She's one of my favourite actresess. I'm so happy for her win. Now She Has won a Golden Globe. Can't Wait until She wins an Oscar. Loved the fact that She got a Kiss from Mamma Mia costar Lily James and that She mentioned her children.
This is one of the most well-deserved emmys , amand worked hard since her debut in hollywood and finally she got a time 100 and an emmy award , she deserves it , finally amanda get appreciation , the drop out was awesome and amanda did an amazing job by playing elizabeth holmes , finally
We all knew this was coming. From the second the trailer came out every award was hers. And among such an incredibly group of talent (I loved Maid, wish it and Andie MacDowell got more love), and the last time I saw a civil servant embodied so well, by the great Sarah Paulson, was by her Crime Story co-star Courtney B. Vance. So much talent. We are so blessed.
I think she likes to act because she can explore parts of herself that don't naturally exist within her personality. I can genuinely see she is anxious and really hard on herself, like a girl who is still scared to fully use her voice. I think her journey as an actress is just getting started in terms of the internal worlds she can explore. Now that she worked on vocal changes - she can really challenge herself more. It's strange there was an energy that she almost felt undeserving of this Emmy - but I guarantee she will win an Oscar. It's interesting how someone who has so much can have low self esteem in some way. She is a powerful woman. I hope she believes and steps in the fullness of her power.
The dropout is so underrated, Amanda Seyfried Portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! So happy for her and the nominees, her talent is outstanding!
Although Margaret Qualley for Maid should've won, there was no chance since the show was disgustingly snubbed for limited series, it's cute how emotional Amanda was for winning
