@@whiterock1865 gotcha. Well if you shoot where there's a lot of livestock or poultry you definitely should go lead free. At least the Predator GTO pellets are out.
Hurry up and get this thing released already, I have been waiting so long for someone to come out with a lead free slug option for so long it’s the only reason I still have not gotten a air rifle
@@Monkeydad1969 I have a few questions regarding the fact that they are tin, will it need more of a twist rate on the barrel to engage the rifling? Have they done any testing with polymers? Or tungsten cores? Although hard to work with a tungsten core could make some of the best slugs out there if it has a casing that can engage the rifling like like a soft metal alloy that has a similar melting point to lead
@@gregmcb5305 as far as more twist more testing needs to be done and those were the only samples we received. JSB is still playing catch-up and new products have been put on hold. They haven't done any work with polymers or tungsten cores. Idk if they will consider those options now due to the fact that they can still use lead and tin and the other options may incur higher costs. But as we find out on what JSB will do, I'll let you all know.
Yup, when covid hit, it slowed a lot of things down. Now JSB and everyone is playing catch-up. But new things are working their way through the pipeline.
@@Monkeydad1969 Thank you for the update...that's good news that it at least in theory will come out soon. I hope they make a lot available, think they'll be a hot item.
@@Monkeydad1969 Been thinking more about lead free. Specially this winter when i have been shooting more indoor because of the dust after impact. But todays lead free are to light for my .22 springer i think. Can damage the piston? An lead free like exact jumbo 15.89 grain would be cool.
Not yet. JSB is still trying to play catch up on pellet orders and they have a couple other things still ahead of the lead free. But as soon as I know I'm let you all know.
