Hi Burke - sorry for the late reply, just saw this (need to turn on youtube notifications!). We were using the blades we're supplying which are Crystals. And Adam was using all three blades loaded. Leaf is a fantastic razor for tackling multiple-days growth because the extra space between the blades all but eliminate the kind of tugging you'd experience in a cartridge. - - can't wait to hear what you think of yours! _Adam
Leaf Shave thanks Adam. Back when the Kickstarter launched I had switched from traditional cartridges to DE shaving. I was then struggling with irritation on my neck from DE shaving. Never had a problem with cartridges other than cost. I've since figured out my irritation struggle and enjoy shaving. I still look forward to shaving with the Leaf!
Very soon - first priority is to fulfill our pre-orders and crowdfunding backers in the next month or so, then we're open for business! And yeah, I did my grad-school at CMU and my co-founder and I met and conceived of this razor project while working on a med-tech startup that was spun out of CMU's robotics institute.
