Mitch Marner gets some touching advice from Patrick Marleau, his bud in blue, and they cap off their convo by picking up the pastels to create portraits of each other… revealing that their true talent is on the ice.
That's the biggest thing he's brought to the team! He's mentored the younger guys, and have made them the great players they are today! They need to keep him. I wish they had put the C on his chest last year.
@@XBLJohnstOnse Mark Hunter was the Assistant GM to Lou Lamoriello who was the leafs former GM. Both Hunter and Dubas were assistant GM's. Dubas got the job and Hunter left. Mark Hunter was a former NHL player and co-owner, with his brother, Dale Hunter, of the London Knights where Mitch Marner played his junior hockey.
Marleau will always be my favourite player, I was a huge fan when he played in San Jose when the leafs were in there dark days. I loved watching him as a player but really finding out how great of a person he is only furthers my love for the guy. Class act through and through.
I get there's more than the average attention ( and pressure ) being a LEAF , but Mitch has played through the good years. He has no idea how bad it can get in this town when the LEAFS suck. I lived through the Ballard years.
Okay wow i wasn’t ready for this emotional rollercoaster. I seriously love Marleau. Such a great dude, and what an influence on the team! Not a Leafs fan but I can’t dislike him or Marner:) Now I’ll go back to crying, excuse me...
Who's here after Marleau waived his no trade clause and got moved to Carolina to free up more cap space to sign Jonsson and Kapanen? We love you Patty😭😭
Advice for Marner, just make sure you are dancing and having fun, that alone puts you into the zone (vortex), let the energy flows and you would be at your BEST. Patty, enjoy and keep up being healthy, go long way.
Mariners too young to have watched Dougie play at his peak... but it’s good to see he respects the way Dougie played the game.. hopefully he will develop that “Killer” instinct that Gilmour had! Dougie was small but played like he was 10 feet tall and Bulletproof! Just think how Great Mitch would be if he played the way Gilmour did!!!
Both Great players! I have a nickname for Marnrer "magical mitch " way bttr than Gretzky, he just hung out in his "office" and waited for team mates to feed him. Mitch can do it ALL!!!! You are AMAZING Mitch, no offence Marleau "
