Ashe has a voice line “we pray to see deaths approach so we may complete our labours and die with our eyes open.” She’s saying she wants to meet the reaper to see the truth. When she says “i hope you die with your eyes closed.” She’s not talking about killing you in your sleep, she’s saying you will die a fool to the truth.

If you mean Ashe, I think you're referring to the genius who decided to axe her older, far more fitting voice and replace her lines with cringe dialogue and an actress with less elegant voicework. The new voice by itself isn't bad - it just doesn't fit Ashe in my opinion.
