Leaking Monaco RV Slide-Out Repair Technique

Here is the promised follow up video on the 2005 Monaco Windsor slide-out leak. Sorry about the moving camera, I was rushing to beat the sunset and had little time for camera work. Hopefully, this video helps someone somewhere.
I used Proflex from Geocel for the roof itself
I used Sikaflex 505 to seal the fascia and moldings
Thanks!

One of the most important things to owning a RV is to keep it from leaking ! A leak will destroy a camper. My opinion is, as soon as possible get a carport to park it under. Well worth the money and will help keep it nice.

James they tell me to buy a 2005 to 2008. Im looking at one but I tell you when I watch all your videos it makes me realize how much work I may be getting into. Since I have good hands being a contractor in my past working life I know I feel comfortable repairing almost anything and I have the tools. Im starting to think my spare time RVing will be spent working on any used rig I buy which is not really a bad thing for me at least. Lastly considering shop fees for RV repair (Im guessing $100 to $150 an hour) I can see how expensive an older coach could really be. Its kind of scary to jump in. Thank you for all your videos. Excellent work.

why did you show a camping world bag? definatly a ooooops. not a fan of that place but there is one 5 minutes away so i buy supplies there all the time also. point of this post is i bought a 97 gulf stream sun sport 32 ft with the 460 ford f 35 chassis that had minimal damage but im restoring it to better than new condition. you are a plethura of information. i love your videos and i watch them all the time just to pick up tips and tricks so i can learn more . most importantly that no 2 are built the same and dont be afraid to modify something that is obviously not done effectively. anyhow, point being, your videos have probably saved me 10 grand so far easy and you give me the confidence and know how to do things myself. best tip thus far is the expanding foam while stiffing the roof. that saved me a ton of work and instead of having to replace my roof now ive got it fixed so i can hold off for a year or so. im just having a hard time finding that red adhesive glue that sticks to the foam. cant find it anywhere. camping places wont sell it but they sure will sell a new roof where they use it to glue the new luan down. lol. and in your honest opinion, is that a decent unit? anything i need to check on that may be concerning after 25 years?

@@AZExpert I really don't think they have that much of a problem when we only had like a sofa in the slide couple hundred pounds it works great for that much weight but when you start installing complete kitchens in a flight out that's a couple thousand times hanging out there with no support don't make any sense to me

Sounds a good instructional video. I wonder if country Coach is the same?

I think Country Coach water leaks are mostly in the roof and sidewalls .

Another fantastic video! Thank you for your expertise. I have a 2005 Winnebago adventurer that I recently noticed daylight shining through under the Galley slide. I have about a 10” section that has pulled away. I tucked it back in place the best I could for a quick fix. Is there any special instruction I need to know before ordering a new seal? Thank you again!

Winnebago uses proprietary seals but overall, there is usually some light coming in underneath slides.
