Dude! That was it. I was freaking a little. I have a Santa Fe that was doing this. I didn't have to take anything apart, I just blew compressed air through the drain holes up top. Wallah. All good now. It'll drain a full 16 ounce bottle of water in seconds now, right out the bottom like it's supposed to. THANK YOU!
I’m very glad to hear that I hope the video was helpful generally when people make things if somebody has already made something that works very well and is very simple other Companies will copy it
Thanks for the video, I needed a direction on where to go. I have a 2001 Cadillac Eldorado, I recently purchased this car and it had a bad mildew smell in it. Come to find out the back seat was soaked. I removed the backseat and the tubs were full of water. Cleaned it all up, I didnt put the back seat back in (it was still drying out). It rained the next night, tubs filled up again, this time I noticed the headliner was wet. I stumbled across your video. I took my fish rod and cleaned my back weep holes out from the bottom up, water came gushing out of both sides, cleaned the fronts out from top down (they werent clogged, checked for flow with a gallon of water, all holes draining freely. Problem solved, Thank you.
So you have to be able to open the moon roof to clear the drains?. I have a leaking moon roof. It seams to leak at the screws. It won’t open. The previous owners glued and ducked taped it closed. You can here the motor go but it doesn’t move it anymore. I can barely make it budge like a hairs worth of space when I tilt it up and down. Which effects how much it leaks.
Thank you! I have a 2008 Mazda Tribute. My 'sunroof/moonroof' is rusting and my headliner shows water stains and falling down around the sun visors. I'm wondering if your shop is locating near Houston TX or if you can recommend someone to help with this project. In the meantime, I'll try cleaning the drain tubes. If I remove the black rubber trim - I'm sure I'll need to replace it with new trim. The rest of the 'contraption' works great... just need to get rid of the rust and the leaking. I cannot take on a car payment and I've recently paid for a lot of maintenance and the vehicle runs great. Thanks in advance for your feedback on this issue.
