I think she's one the best if not the best singers ever to come out of a TV competition in the UK. I just feel sorry that she never had a chance. She got nowhere near the promotion or investment needed to become successful. The BBC seem to think that the artist can look after themselves once they win. If you look back in time, artists like Mariah, Whitney and Celine were all given super marketing budgets. It is rumoured Mariah Carey's initial budget at the start of her career was 6 times larger than the biggest artists of that time. That is why they became famous so quickly. If you don't invest in the artist, you don't get anything back.
