They actually can ask anyone a million questions in the immigration control. Maybe it just was on their mood to bother you. But they pay a lot more attention to people coming from non European countries, from countries not in NATO and generally from poor countries.

German here: I guess they do it randomly as some Germans here state that they didnât get questioned. When I visited in 2022 they did ask me and my friend why weâre there and what our occupation was and where weâd stay. For context: Both female, 22 & 21 year old unemployed students. Just a 3 week vacation starting from San Francisco through California.

Try going to Belgium which I did before and after becoming a US citizen. Before US citizen required a letter of invitation, visa (not the credit card), two credit cards and a bank statement, proof of employment and where I was staying. After US citizenship: welcome to Belgium.

I thought it was like impossible to get into Canada now. Idk. I heard that happened at some point during covid that they wouldnât let Americans in. All of my family is from Canada except me. They gave up their citizenship because my grandpa hated Canada for some reason and became a super proud American. They never asked any of that in EU and US for my Indian passport. I have also heard they discriminate Indian passports based on which state it was issued. Embassy and border agents are on a whole new level of discrimination.

When I arrived in USA with german Passport, they have asked me some basic Questions, like Purposes of Visiting, where to stay, how many Cash. But I didnât need to show any Tickets or Credit Cards.
As a Turkish person, when i traveled to the US, They took me into a private room and asked me a lot of different questions. They wanted to see my Turkish Republic id card, they asked about my school etc. Then they said that they wanted to make sure that I'm a Turk, the reason for this is that Turkey is the country hosting the largest number of refugees in the world. A lot of Syrians, Afghans and Arabs can easily have Turkish citizenship because of our clown government. It really hurt when I experienced this situation ð¢
