El Greco the traditional modernist … he was ahead of his time .. I was thinking of Cezanne.. Van Gogh .. I could see Gauguin painting as you were talking about El Greco , I love your freedom of painting as an artist should be , doing & finding his own way .. your painting is very beautifully painted, it looked refreshingly effortless .. with freedom to be … one becomes his own master .. 👏very nice to see
I've always been interested in iconography, and while I'm a traditional artist, I paint on paper with markers, ink and pencils. For my father's birthday I want to give him an icon of his favorite saint, St Sir Thomas More, of whom there are not many icons that I could see. I'm confident that I'll be able to create the design myself using St Thomas More's symbols and such. However I don't have wood nor paints, so I'll do it on paper with ink and/or pencils this time, and hopefully I'll be able to improve and paint proper icons on wood in the future. I have been watching your videos, thanks a lot for teaching us such priceless lessons.
