Teacher's Tech I have a question, I was gone for a few hours and left my phone at home, I came back and checked my history in case anyone tried to access my phone, it doesn't look like anyone did but it said "android settings" in the history at a time I was not home. Did someone access my phone or did the phone do it itself? It also said Android Device connected Updated app information Updated contact information
I was a little familiar with Google Calendar so I could follow along fairly easily and felt like I learned a lot. I would hit the pause and then go into my Google Calendar and play around. However, if I had been new to it, it went a little fast. Nice job!

hello...question. Should i create another calendar for my students to use? for example I can post work assignments for the week. Would I give them access to that "student calendar" I create on my google calendar? Or create a totally separate one for the school/students to view, but not change? Or can they edit the calendar?
Thank you so much I really learnt a lot from this video. Some things are now making sense. Only one question I do not have a MOBILE tab when I go to settings. I only see GENERAL, CALENDARS, & LABS. Does it matter? How important or useful is the mobile tab, why dont i have it? cheers!
Hi Teachers Tech I love my Google calendars and use them every day. One feature that I use which you didn't mention is location. When you enter where an event is located (can be done by address, typing a contacts name, or venue name) the calendar links it to Google maps. It then works out how long it will take to get to from your current location and give a notification about what time to you need to leave. You can also then click on the location from the calendar and it will open Google maps and give directions and you can see street view to identify which building etc you are going to.
Thanks, this helped me understand what I needed to do to take care of my mom-n-law. She is 95 and needing more attention by the family. Now I can easily ask for help and still get important items taken care of for the week or month. Again, Thanks.
I enjoyed the tutorial, but the hook at the beginning about how to have my flights show up on my google calendar was never fully explained! I will be traveling to many countries in different time zones. I currently have my calendar on Thai time, but once I leave Thailand I will have to change the time zone in the settings otherwise I'll be getting my notifications at the wrong time. Are there any tricks to this or do I have to manually change the setting every new place I visit?... Thanks!

I'm using a shared calendar with a class I created in google classroom. I would like to be able to set up events and have notifications sent to my students for those events. For instance "Quiz" might be the event, and I want them to get a notification 2 days before. Can that be done? Or, will they have to set up their own notifications?

Good video, much of the content was needed refresher. Best take-away for me was SMS enable. I thought google had dropped this feature. My goal is to get more calendar centered with my time-management. Your clip will help me accomplish that.
Hi Teachers Tech, I have added the paid google calendar "VRCalendar" on my website and I have no idea how to use it. I just wondered do you have any videos that I could watch to help me. I have already installed the calendar on my site, we have a holiday let in Italy, but it is only showing 2 months and the customer cannot slide forward to future months to see if we have any availability. also I have no idea how to add the payment option. Question, Is it possible to have separate calendar views? I want a calendar I can open that shows only work items and another for personal. I don't want them together at all and I don't want to have to click different buttons to hide view different calendars. I want to be able to have a icon for work and the icon for person on the home screen. Is that possible without installing a completely separate app?
Hi Teachers Tech, thanks for the great video. I am a teacher and would like to create different "calendars" this year to keep track of my teaching schedule (ie. Reading everyday at 9 AM, Science everyday at 2 PM, etc.) Right now, my calendars are synced to show up on my iPhone's calendar. Is there a way to turn off certain calendars so they do not show up on your phone calendar? Basically, I do not want to see my teaching schedule on my phone calendar. Thank you!
I can't get the default '15 mins' before notification to change on my phone - I've been looking online for years and everytime I get the same advice change it in your calander settings on your phone and your computer but it just ignores my settings - I have to go into each event and adjust the notification time. It's very frustrating as I can't get hold of a Google support person than can tell me where I'm going wrong
What I am trying to create is a simple daily journal and share it with just one person. I do not need an event calendar, just a simple daily journal so I can keep track of my medications, level is my pain and what I ate. Is that possible? It's so frustrating. I used to have one of these calendar years ago and it was so simple. How complicated it's become. I just want something simple. Can anyone help please???

What if its not blank, but you want it to be? Meaning I set my schedule/event up for a long time, and basically my schedule has changed. How do you reset your calendar without having to delete each event individually?
Thank you for this great video - it helped me to work through some of my gaps in knowledge and be more efficient when setting up bookings. Is there a way to add a template to the Add Description section when scheduling an event? I teach in multiple schools and share my calendar with my operations person, and I would love to be able to have the same headings appear in the note section when booking. Good question. In addition, I would like the Google Calendar Phone-app to automatically synch any additions/changes to my Desktop/Browser version of Google Calendar as well. Come on! Apple can do this with their Calendar program... no silly 'Importing' or 'Exporting' needed. Why not Google?? :p

Remember: Each month has its own number of days. In year 2019, February had 28 days, March had 31 days, April had 30 days & February 2020 had 29 days. Hence, I want the Event to repeat, on the last day of every month. Please, let us know.

Thanks so much! Here's what I'm trying to do - wondering if you might be able to provide tips? Our org works with a variety of different school districts all across the state. I'd like to have one Google calendar on our internal Google site that contains all district dates. What I'm hoping for is something like you had with "Arizona Diamondbacks" and "Holidays in Canada" etc ... basically one calendar that says "District 1" and another that says "District 2" etc. all on one calendar. And users to the calendar can check the different boxes so that they appear (or don't appear) on a shared calendar. Is that possible? Or do I have to make one calendar that I can select on/off, but others will have access to whatever I have on?

Hi Jason, just make sure you don't share it out. It's hard to accidentally share it out. You would need to go to that certain calendar and add people or share it out publically.

I didnt before I created one a while ago, then just did what you said above and I have Tasks and the tasks are on the side bar now. Thank you!!! The default calendars were birthdays, holidays and weather. I create a calendar for myself earlier. Not sure why it didnt create one using my gmail name by default. Maybe because I changed it a while back or that its not set up correct? And ideas? Thanks!
Hi, Your video on printing gmail calendar is very helpful. But I do have a question on a printing issue I have. I would like to print one day only (which I can do) BUT I need the description of the hourly events/appointments printed too. Is that possible? Or is the only way to view the full description on each hourly event of the day is to refer back to Google's calendar and open each event to view?
