My Dc5 build is the polar opposite of this... lol... HEAVY.. Boosted, awd, and a super comfortable daily.. electric power steering, ELECTRIC AC(yes, I have electric AC), the entire chassis was stripped and professionally sound deadened and everything was properly secured so no drone, little rattling, and very quiet in-cabin. Even got lucky and worked with Bilstein who provided helped me install damptronic on a set of Bilstein b16 coilovers, so I have electronic ride height and dampening control in-cabin.. I make a very quiet 500whp on 93 lol. I was even able to get my hands on the 70mm Hybrid RAcing throttle body that retains cruise control!.. I have a PPG helical syncro 6 speed, with long gears and 4.0FD, so I can cruise in lower rpm.. Dale from Gear Driven figured that all out for me with the proper gear ratios for my needs. I respect the light-weight NA Honda builds a lot tho! Respect. I guess I just got old! lol
You’re build is what I wish I would have done from the beginning lol I’m too far into this car for all motor so I just gotta go all the way 🤪 Maybe on the next rsx I’ll do something like this 🤔
@@SERGMOTIVEGARAGE Same exact thing happened here. Ive owned 4 dc5's.. On my 2nd one, I went the all-motor route, and it was a whole lot a fun for sure, but then..... I got married..... THEN.... I had kids... lol.. And my wife HATED my NA dc5.. It was cammed, loud, and yes very obnoxious. But I loved it!. When my wife got pregnant the second time, we found out we were having twins, so yeah, the car had to go sadly.. But then 2 years later, in 2014, I came across Josh who had a beautiful turbo Silver dc5 that was featured in MotorTrend, and I got bit by the Honda bug again! So yeah, spent the past 7-8 years just slowly adding things and making it more comfortable and modern, but also retain that raw Honda feel and performance too! I really have enjoyed watching your car come together tho! Keep up the great work!. These chassis are really going up in value a lot so take good care of it! I know you will.
@Maceson pretty sure it's an early model prius. You need the ac ecu tho. My AC guy ran it thru my Fuel Tech. The only issue is it only has one medium setting. But it's more than enough n it's no draw on the engine other than running a bigger alternator.
I HOPE YOU CAN ANSWER THIS QUICKLY. Im trying to complete my 2 year build, boosted 24/20. Put everything back together and for some reason my car isnt starting. That one ground that you cut, would u be able to tell me or take a photo of what goes there ? Like what did u cut
Any tips on how to swap out the flip down coin tray set up. Access is impossible unless from the back of the dash to swap out the new tray/holder. 4 Screws holding it on. Please don't tell me, the dash has to be removed to do this. Under the dash is blocked no access to the 4 screws.
You go from underneath the dash with a stubby and long Philips screw driver. Take out the for screws and it comes out fairly easy, reverse order to install.
