Wonderful presentation..explaining both hindustanii. and carnatic .speed..normal extreme speed..slowness...all of it.. Add the female voice to it...camouflaging for extreme lung power (men have a lot of this...unfortunately !!!). It would probably take at least an hour more. So many moods, bhakti, romance..all of the rudra chakra...excellent presentation...dedication....samporna..saraswathi kataksha..prapti..re..astu...my blessings...!!

I have stopped and resumed learning Carnatic music several times because of unsettling teachers. But the passion for music never leaves me. There have been 5 tutors already. Each time they change, in the beginning they always complain of my shruthi or voice opening.. If my shruthi sounds perfect to one teacher how could it sound different to another? Hence they start the lesson from the beginning. I don't see myself progressing. Frustating. 😑 Yearning for proper 'Guru' 😔

i read in a couple places that isha pahimam was composed in lalgudi, not kovur. the kalyani kriti from kovur would've been nammivacchina :)
