Welcome to LEARN TAI CHI, Ten Form.
This video offers STEP BY STEP instruction for Postures 1, 2, and 3. Each posture is broken into its upper body and lower body components. Each movement is explained in detail, and the video offers multiple angles, with guided steps on how to perform the moments perfectly.
Posture 1 is called the Commencing Form, and is important to settle and focus energy for the entire Ten Form. It can be done alone as a warm up and moving meditation.
Posture 2 is called Reverse Wheeling Forearms, and is a defensive posture that is good for warming up all of the joints in the arms and gently rotating the spine.
Posture 3 is called Brushing Knee with Twisted Step, which is both a defensive and offensive posture that includes important fundamental Tai Chi footwork. Make sure to learn the upper body posture fully, and then the lower body, and then in combination.
In future videos, we will go in depth for the remaining postures, as well as the Ten Form in a complete video.
