Learn The INFINITY Swing To Stand It Up Then Shallow It Out!

It's time to learn the INFINITY swing! In this video, Milo and Henry show you how to stand the club up in the backswing then shallow out in transition. This figure 8 golf swing drill will especially help those of you that tend to get steep and swing over the top. And if you are prone to slices and pulls, this could be the solution. By standing the club up in the backswing with good wrist conditions and working into lead side bend, we can then bounce into the downswing with less effort with the club staying up and back for a more in to out club path. Say hello to draws! While this drill isn't for everyone, it can provide a dramatic exaggeration to bring about a new pattern. We hope you enjoy this addition to the channel!

Milo has the best channel on RU-vid. Because in my mind he's the only consistent advocate of a steeper backswing. I've always been a decent player and had a low and wide takeaway, but it leads to you swinging around the body and then back over the top. I now pick the club up much steeper and from there you have space for the body to do the work and the club will shallow. I know for some, that they have to feel like they shallow the club with arms, whilst for others there's no specific attempt to shallow. The best for anyone to copy is Fred Couples. He picks it up and then let's the body do the work in the downswing.

This is Milo’s wife I have been the one replying to RU-vid comments of late because Milo stepped away from it because of the recent contention with AMG. I am the one who said Milo was an All-American, and he was while we were Dating but after looking back at his plaques it was NJCAA Division I not NCAA Division I. Utah Valley State College became Utah Valley University in 2004 and then joined the NCAA and was on athletic probation until 2006. Sorry for the mistake. Those who have played with Milo can attest that he is a great player especially for a man that first picked up the game the summer before his senior year of high school.

Hi guys. Love your videos & approach to the golf swing. I’m struggling with left leg pressure, I’m trying to not bump my hips as far forward, focusing on rotation instead, but the pressure in my lead leg naturally pushes up still & my torso continues towards the target. Can you recommend a video where you show how the body & legs should move to achieve the whip / lean away from the target that you appear to have? Thanks guys (sorry for the long msg!)

As always Milo and Henry, great content. Have had the problem of taking the club too much instead in the takeaway for many years. I have been working on this concert you have been illustrating in this video and have been encouraged by the results. Can you advise me about transition in how much attention I have to make with the correct wrist angles. Do I have to pay much attention to them or just let them naturally get into the correct position due to the movement made with this loop drill? Hope this makes sense! Thanking you in anticipation. Keep up the good work! UK.
@MiloLinesGolf
@MiloLinesGolf Год назад
Perhaps a bit of both. I like trail hand/wrist feels as you see, but a lot of that can be created with good body movements and sequence.

I prefer to see a more stable club face throughout. Just depends on matchups, but not a big fan of face roll, or at least rehearsing it and feeling it. It will tend to happen naturally though.

The Infinity Loop is Money. The DNA of life itself. I have been training with this and similar concepts for years. Much of teaching is Club Driven but what I like about Milo's concepts are also Body Driven. Here are some questions for you Milo: What is your Origin of Motion? After Intent, How do you Trigger? Where do you Draw your Energy from? Clearly we are connected to the Ground, but how do you Draw Energy from the Ground? As Humans we are made up of 70% water (some parts more) The ground has water. Where is your Well, Milo?

@@MiloLinesGolf Thank you, That is another great video for sure. Float Load, Shear Force, Spirals, Step Drills and a bit of a foot trigger. So yes, that answers a bunch of my questions. But what is the your Origin of Motion? Is it from your Core to your Feet and Hands? (Proximal to Distal). Like the Batter are you in Motion prior to you last Measure? Do you start with the club on the ground? If your intending to stride what muscles do you engage first? (Core) I know, most of your students just want to hit the ball near where they intend. But if you know how to start/engage and where to draw the energy from, it gets easier.
@jackwilliamson1929
@jackwilliamson1929 Год назад
Just the change in head position mid swing makes it hard to find some consistency. Hitting it fat is the primary issue I'm dealing with as I always tried to keep my head dead still and now I'm starting the swing in one position then finishing it as I squatt down and I'm taking massive divots. Thinking maybe my clubs are to long.
@MiloLinesGolf
@MiloLinesGolf Год назад
Could be, but also likely your release pattern and sequence from the top doesn't match with the lowering, they go hand-in-hand. I also don't encourage a big move off the ball with head/center of mass, just pressure. I'd have to see your swing to give you the best feedback, Jack. Have you looked into my online academy? milolinesgolf.com

Milo, I’ve used this feel of the Infiniti trying to shallow out because I open up my shoulders WAAAAAY too early in the downswing (no separation) but I always end up hitting very FAT shots for the most part when trying this drill 🤬! What could be some of the reasons for that? I usually end up just moving away from that drill because all I do is hit FAT shots with it. So Infuriating!!
@MiloLinesGolf
@MiloLinesGolf Год назад
You are shallowing the club with tilt of the body most likely
@thomasfraser9072
@thomasfraser9072 Год назад
Hi Milo I appreciate your disclaimer at the end of the drill that it is not meant for everyone. And yes the infinity drill is good for correcting the death move of hitting down with the trail shoulder causing a slice that many beginning golfer make. Have you done a video of The Magnificent Rotating Butt Move of golf? You can use the title if you like as it is not on You Tube. After all even Tiger Woods said he needed to wake up and activate his own glutes in his golf swing. I believe The Butt against the Wall drill once applied correctly to a golfers swing will change their game for the better and forever. At age 75 I know it did for me. My one and only swing thought is: Roll&Squeeze.Cheers

One more comment also, since the ball is only in contact with the face at the split second of impact why does it matter how you finish? You aren't carrying the ball and releasing it, it's gone in an instant, seems like you could just drop the club if you wanted to the instant you hit it and it wouldn't effect the balls flight.
@MiloLinesGolf
@MiloLinesGolf Год назад
The club will tend to roll a bit, not everyone keeps it super stable to the arc, but having a sense of where you are going and continuing your turn to the finish can be great for having the ball get in the way versus hitting at it.
