One of the staple foods in India is dal rice. Variously called dal chawal or varan bhaat, you can make it in a million different ways which I will cover in my subsequent pages. But in this tutorial, I will focus on how to cook rice perfectly in pressure cooker and how to make yellow dal in pressure cooker. Then I will show you how to cook perfect rice without pressure cooker and how to cook non sticky rice in instant pot

at 83 though know some cooking, this guidance has enhanced to cook thoroughly and methodically. really it has given me the confidence to cook without fear. this is needed as from experience one has to learn to be an independent realizing that today or tomorrow, one has to be alone and if cooking is not learned then you have to run after food.

Hi thanks for your feedback. I have mentioned adding dal at around 5:45. But how much salt depends on one's liking. I generally always mention add salt as per your taste

When you cooking dal you will not put any ingredients on it like green peppers an other that you listed

This is a simple dal or varan as called in Marathi. You don't really need to add anything. I have got other videos like dal tadka where I have added other ingredients in the dal to add more flavors
