Great explanation. We were reading through with our kiddos and it was confusing, we searched for your video and it made sooo much more sense to them and us! Thanks!
This game looks very interesting. I guess it makes sense to penalize someone for having the least puddings because it means the grabbed non pudding dice which helped them get other points. With two players do you think the gain 6 lose 6 system should be tweaked? Maybe you need a minimum number to get the gain 6 and you need get past a certain number (of puddings) to avoid losing 6. Gain 6 and lose 6 with two players is a 12 point swing. That is a game changer with only 2 players.
It was fun and is based on the card game Sushi Go. I have not had an issue with the pudding making a huge difference in my games but I have only played it a few times. Let me know if you try your house rules and how it goes, love hearing about changes and adjustments players make. Thanks for watching and posting;)
Very clear instructions. Where did you find the little plastic organizer that you use for the tokens and cards? Our board is a mess after three rounds and that would really help keep things tidy. Thank you!
The only thing I didn't quite catch was at about 10:40 it skips ahead while you are scoring and I'm not sure where the extra points came from. Otherwise very helpful, thank you.
So at that point I scored each players board based on what they had for their dice just like you do in each of the other rounds. This is covered at 7:40, sorry if you found this confusing I was trying to keep the video shorter. please let me know if you have any other questions about scoring and I can help go into more detail if you need it. Thanks for the question and feedback;)
Those conveyorbelt player boards must get worn as hell very quickly, with those sliding motions and repeated plays? :/ I honestly feel like that would be in issue for me.
I could see your point they are made from a thick cardboard and you could pick them up with the dice if it is a concern. As someone that is very picky about my games getting beat up I understand your feelings. Thanks for watching and posting;)
The confusing part of this game looks like the scoring.... But I think it's due to this video; I think you blew past that part of the game too quickly. For example; why does 2 Tempura gain you only 5 points? You should explain the score card!. Understanding that score card is one of the most important parts of this game!
I understand what you are saying and I am sorry you didn't find the video helpful. One of the biggest challenges to creating videos like this is finding the balance of explaining the rules but keeping things moving and not making a video to long. I could have doubled the length of the video explaining every detail, but most of my audience does not want that as I can see in the analytics watch times and engagement.
