Sir, I have a doubt regarding the battery & rack installation. Suppose if the rack is not grounded and the due to some reason there is a leakage path from battery to rack, in that case what would be the voltage between the battery and the metal rack? Also under normal conditions, what would be the voltage between the battery and metal rack?

Sir assuming 220 v dc ifrom a battery bank , in that case the dc volt is not grounded , so we should not get any volt betwwen ground and poitive / or between ground and negative . How there is potential difference in such cases .?
Hi bro, In our 120 DC charger i am getting fluctuational value... When i am checking with across +& - ve we are getting same 120, but when i am checking positive with ground first one two seconds i will get +80 something and suddenly it will change -ve 30something... Same thing happening in -ve to ground also... What should be the reason

1. Somewhere the wires of positive or negative is being earthed. 2. Battery is not healthy and Battery Charger is feeding control supply directly through bus of DCDB. In such case check the Charger output supply and check the battery each cell voltage. Sometimes on load it will be flickering due to unhealthiness of battery of its too old. 3. If wires/NO, NC Contacts of Relays are earthed then it may happen in such situation. *😊Thanks.*
Sir in my station, there are 2 no's of dcdb & each dcdb feeds 4 no's of feeders(total 8 fuses in each dcdb). Output point for dcdb-1 at battery charger is showing +ve to ground as 38v & -ve to ground as 71v. Same situation with output point of dcdb-2 at battery charger. If there is any grounding, I have switched of these 2 MCBs at battery charger(output points of both dcdb). But still I m getting 38v & 71v at MCBs of both dcdb. Plz help
There might be chance of earth fault in DCDB itself or cable coming from charger to DCDB or at battery point. Tou need to check all concerned ckt one by one.

Relay will malfunction ! Relay may be damaged internally. Protection may not operate in such condition due malfunctioning of relays. Relays are costly so it's important to troubleshoot that. Thanks.
It depends upon many factor. What is the size, What is the phasor sequence of both end of the termination point where cable is planned to connect. Simply lay down cable and check the continuity of each phase if cable is 3 core and identity that by marking Red, Yellow and Blue at both end. Continuity should be confirmed of each phase and connect according to already decided phase of termination point.(Like HT/LT Panel end and other end (Like Transformer or Line)
