The following things can be considered while thinking about UX for a dry bin Usability 1. Ease of Use: Opening Mechanism: Is it easy to open and close? Does it require minimal effort? Lid Design: Does the lid stay open when needed and close securely to prevent odors? 2. Capacity: Size: Is the bin large enough to meet household needs without being too bulky? Shape: Does the shape optimize space and fit well in the designated area? 3. Material: Durability: Is it made from durable materials that withstand regular use? Cleaning: Is it easy to clean? Are there crevices or parts that trap dirt? Accessibility 1. Height and Reachability: Is the bin easily accessible for all users, including children and people with disabilities? Can it be easily reached without bending too much or stretching? 2 Labeling and Instructions: Are there clear labels or color codes for sorting different types of dry waste? Are any instructions for use clear and easy to understand? Interaction Design 1. Feedback: Are all local government rules and regulations considered in designing the bin? Does it provide any feedback when used (e.g., a click sound when the lid is securely closed)? Are there any visual or tactile cues that help users understand how to use the bin correctly? 2. Ergonomics: Is the design comfortable to use? Are handles easy to grip and use? Does the bin accommodate the natural movement of users? Visual Design 1. Aesthetics: Does the design of the bin fit well with the home’s decor? Is it available in colors and styles that users find appealing? 2. Consistency: Does the design maintain consistency in terms of materials, color, and form?

Hi @UX Anudeep Fitts’s Law: The handles and the opening of the laundry basket are large and easy to use. This reduces the effort required to pick up and carry the basket, especially when it's full Hick’s Law: The way laundry basket designed to be straightforward with minimal interactive elements. Such as, if it has a lid, it should open easily without complex mechanisms.

Hi Anudeep, That was a Fast & Furious mission on the Video!! I personally loved it and its Mind Blowing. Cloths Bin: I could see that Jacob's Law has been used in the product. Many Containers and boxes have the similar opening mechanism. When the clothes are full in the bin the user has to carry that to the washing area. So I Could see that similar method has been used for carrying large containers. A Small rectangular empty space on both the sides to put the hands inside and lift. Minor Updates for better UX If we could have leg pedal based opening system, It would be easy for the user to put the clothes into the bin using one hand and leg. If the bin has little bit of breathing space(Checked hollow spaces) the clothes does not become stinky and the user can see how much clothes are left in the bin and take decision about washing. Keeping four small balls at the bottom and making it movable in ant direction, Helps the kids to play around with it and bring the bin when Mom or dad request the kids to bring them for washing.

Hi Anudeep, I like the concept of guessing UX from objects within 10mins of duration and I will also try this one with our folks.😍 I tried to guess for 'cloth bin', by one hand we can open the closing lid and it's easy to open and it's in correct direction - Fitts law Consistency and standards: user shouldn't worry about how to open it, there is a signifier to open the closing lid by handle whole Thank you😀

Door handle shows the principle of visibility and affordance as they show how they should be used . The lever handle suggests to pushing down while a round knob indicates to turning .

Laundry basket also solves for user journey where the handle helps in moving the laundry bag to the washing area . Such a fun challenge 😊

The clothes bin principle are Accessbility (like we can move the bin easily because its light weight and they also include a handles on the side to lift and move easily.)
