After six months of practising this form, learned from @ShiHengYiOnline , I was curious about my progress, so I took my smartphone (bad…sorry…I know) and thanks to these recordings I’ve realized how deep this work is.
I don’t know if practising 13 Luohan Postures (Style Rou Gong) will increase my health, but I sure can improve myself. This practice shows to me - without any soft filter - all my flaws.
Like if the movements were a sort of extensions of something internal.
💡 Therefore, my hypothesis is: if I can see my defects through the movements, then, if I adjust the movements… maybe I can correct my faults. 🐉
According to me, 13 Luohan measures the real distance between where I am and the ideal virtue that I would like to become.
[…I also have to work out my difficult relationship with the posture number 10, Luohan Sifts Flour (Luo Han Luo): all those circular movements make me lose concentration. Every time I start to flow around with the arm, my mind goes away from there. I really love round gestures, but I suppose that too much comfort is not good for me right now that I have to stay focused on and alert.]
I’m really glad to discover that I face a big challenge. It could be a great opportunity to grow.
