Hi, I don't speak Italian or Portuguese (Just for information I'm a Bulgarian learning Turkish, Greek and Romanian) but I really enjoy linguistic content. It's inspiring to see other people's language learning methods and to try them out. Unlike many people, I love learning grammar. So, even tho I don't speak the languages you're learning I'd be glad if you share some grammar learning videos as well. 🖤

People often talk about immersion "if you don't like studying" - well what if you do like studying?! I haven't done immersion yet because I think I'm like you, I want to know about the grammar, just listening and not even being able to pick out any words is WAY too frustrating and disheartening for me. But I'm trying to listen to 'natural Italian' more now because I'm increasing my speaking ability but still can't understand what people are saying 🥲. I need to work on that before my trip to Tuscany in May (yay!) so I've joined LingoPie. Anyway, brave of you to try this and just here in the comments for support and the algo!

Exactly! Thank you for backing me up on this hahaha. Well I’m glad you’re trying those techniques for Italian, it is sooo nice when you can watch Italian content and understand it. Watching TV in Italian is now really fun for me, because I understand about 90%! So it’s possible 😊 I hope you have a wonderful Tuscany trip, it’s so beautiful there! 😍

I love that we can learn from different methods, duolingo for vocab is perfect for me but textbooks and videos are the best grammar methods and AI for practice drills and reading or general questions is great. Thats kind of what I do besides immersion!

I think that your channel and that project was for me some motivation because thanks to you and thanks to my language buddy from English, I decided to try udnerstand French. I don't want to say that I'll learn it, because for me the most important is still English but I could try :) see how it looks, if I will like it :) as always I don't know from where to start but I think that the alphabet will be good :D and some rules about how to read because French is like English, that you write something and you read something different (I hope that you understand me ) I'm always curious how people start to learn a brand new language. Wher they try to find some materials and other stuff. I think that it's very interesting :)

Great video! Does Refold have a version for Italian? I’m level A2-B1 but find myself getting stuck and want to keep improving until I get to Italy for the intensive course in the spring. Do you think refold would be useful for Italian!

Yeah you can use it for a ton of languages! They have plenty of resources for Italian and I would recommend it for any language really. I would say it helps if you already have some knowledge of a language because I think immersion is much more enjoyable when you can already understand at least a little, so I think you have the perfect level!

Shea if you like makeup tutorials you can check out those Vogue tutorials with Bruna Marquezine ou Juliana Paes. Related to grammar you can try to find books for children from the author Laiz Barbosa de Carvalho.😊
