It's really frustrating to see how Brazilians find it adorable when foreigners attempt to speak Portuguese, even if they're not fluent. But when Brazilians try to speak English and aren't fluent, they face criticism from their fellow Brazilians.

Yall as a native speaker, it's so cute to listen him speak bcs he sounds so natural like a native but is struggling so much so it doesn't match up and sometimes he says words with a wrong intonation but he says it with a Portuguese words so its sounds weird bcs it's right but also wrong like I can explainnnn

This video makes me feel very identified. I am from Spain and my parents and most of my family are from Brazil. Even though there is now part of her that lives here, there are still a lot of family members in Brazil. Sometimes it is difficult for me to communicate with them and I feel pressured or embarrassed, since I feel that I do not have a good level. When I have my parents around is when it is most difficult for me, since I think that since they are not used to hearing me speak Portuguese, they will be more attentive to what I say. But i still try to make an effor. (Well, but i'm not talking about the times that i want say something but i don't say it cause i don't even know how to haha.)

Hey Tulio, this video really resonated with me! 🥺My dad is Brazilian but I also grew up abroad (in Germany, where I still live) so my portuguese is super rusty because I rarely get to use it. 😞I understand like 90% of what's said, but when I try to have deeper conversations, there is just so much vocabulary and grammar that I am missing, and my fluency isn't great. I wanna be closer in touch with my family in Brazil, but I get super frustrated with my language struggles and feeling inadequate. Tulio you have to put your portuguese Knowledge on your daily life, it's hard at the beginning but it'll get more easy with the time. Trust me. i'm from Brazil and i've learned english and now learning korean doing this. It's not perfect but it's working. Remember the most important that it's try. Don't forget to hear a lot people speaking in portuguese (when you cannot be with your family i recommend you to watch videos or podcast in portuguese on youtube). i hope this tips can help you in your journey to understand and speak fluently portuguese with your family. :)
