Thanks Dave! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The ability to key into the device and test your “fist” is the confidence builder I need to get on the air.

The WW1 storm troopers were specifically trained to break through the static trench lines and provide a path for the regular German troops. Shock troops so to say. There were highly trained soldiers and distinctly different from the WW2 monsters. N0QFT Glen

I learned Morse code in the Navy back in 2004. Had to get to 20 WPM to graduate. I passed in 3 weeks.

You are mistaken, Stormtroopers were indeed the latter parts of WWI. You can research it.

Sturmtruppen. The units and men were specifically trained to clear trenches, to break the stalemate on the Western Front in WW 1. There were no units I know of in WW 2 called storm troopers. Koch almost certainly served in the First World War (the Great War). 73 de Dave KB3HUC.

my understanding is that Koch was an engineer in 1935, but when Germany went to war he became a storm trooper, however he already had several inventions including the morse code teaching method. It was suggested by some other hams after the war that had Germany used him for his brains instead of making him a storm trooper they might have won the war

Stormtroopers (Sturmtruppen) generally refers to the Infantry specialists in Imperial Germany's army. There really isn't a similarly-named equivalent in WW2, but the similarly-named Sturmabteilung (the SA, or "Brownshirts", literally "storm division/department") are distinct.

CW Renaissance! I'm seeing more people learning morse now. The government said we don't have to know code so now we are learning it. I'm happy about it but it's like child psychology tricking us into a desired decision.

I think you are reading my mind with your timing on this video!!! I've been playing with a home-made multi-band EFHW, and I can hear a lot of chatter, but nobody can hear me, so I'm thinking about learning CW and trying that route. And then I saw this video, which verifies that obviously you are spying on your fans!!! (hahahaha) All joking aside, this is exactly what I need! Great video, I'll be ordering this trainer kit soon!

Curious how it compares to the Morserino (which I just purchased):

I'm curious and must have missed something along thre way. Why the timer on the screen while talking about Patreon?
@WG5Xradio
@WG5Xradio Год назад
I believe that started when a certain number of people were commenting that he spends too much time begging for money. He added the timer to show exactly how much time is spent soliciting funds.
