To be honest, if I was shown that line up at the end, I don’t think I ever would’ve noticed one wasn’t actually Zeen’s art. Thanks for the video, man. I’m finally starting to understand how important copying to learn from artists I like it and this helps a lot

I really admire artists who do line arts as I literally can’t do it or make it look clean so I just end up rendering everything. Your piece turned out greatttttttt
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 26 дней назад
U should try it tho :3 i gotta say it wasn't as hard as i expected, especially with this kind of brush. Also thank uuuu 💕💕💕💕💕

You know, I actually tried to draw an artwork in Zeen Chin’s style like 3 years ago. The line art type of artwork like what you did in the video. He’s one of my favorite artists aswell. The art actually turned out pretty good now that I look back at it. Only thing is that I totally used the wrong brush for the lineart. It looked like he was using some sort of smooth pencil brush (not sure how to describe that) but because I was using PaintToolSai, I couldn’t really replicate that brush. So I kinda just used a flat out pencil brush.
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 14 дней назад
I know right :0 not having the right brush can be an issue... though he probably uses one of the basic ones from Photoshop so it should be easy to get/replicate

@@vikartstuf I don’t want to judge you, but I have one note if you take it from me. His style does not reveal most of the details in one place in his character but throughout the whole details on his character.,and including the tattoo cute little things for this style most of them had cute little bear or backpack strange look from the character Japanese,Chinese traditional culture for ex there old obj they’re created mask for hiding there faces so much more. If we look at your drawing you will find that, most of the details behind the character.i hope ur understanding me it’s good, if you find this method a bit difficult, then you can use some other methods. For ex a different style, we are confident that you will do well in whatever style you use.we’re sure u’ll be gooddd in any of them proud of u.🖤

line art is always a pain, especially when you're just doing it and then suddenly the size of the brush goes bigger and you forget what size the normal brush was, literally the worst thing ever smh, so literally you have all my respect for the risks of that happening. Also the end drawing was so sugoi and kawaiiiiii /acc though its so prettyyyy. Literally all your art works are pinterest worthy so put them on there I BEGGGGGGGGGG 🙏🙏🙏🙏 your vids are really calming too ykkkk like I was very energetic and then you just calmed me down and made me eepy so magical >o< ANYWAYSYSYSYSY, once again another great postttt, pls continue with these amazing and entertaining videos mi hermoso y divertido amigo c:

hey man really nice video! I was at an art event where he was featured and he also talked about this lineart flat colour style that he does. The first reason why he does those he said is that he is very interested in fashion design and I think he also was a fashion designer at some point. The 2nd reason was that he sometimes needs a break from the highly rendered paintings he does. So the reason he doesnt render is not because of style or something its just that he wants to do something that is fast.
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 14 дней назад
okay, that makes so much sense actually! i would also like linearts to be more of a break from my rendered stuf... too bad my level aint that great yet ;w;

the main thing about zeen chin's drawing is not the line art, his drawing fundamentals it self are the only thing that stand out... in therms of line art is actualy way more simple than a lot of artists
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 26 дней назад
Totally true, that's why i wanted to try working this way :) being overly precise and obsessing about line width is something i wanted to avoid at all cost haha

the lineart is not the trick here, he doesn't have a style for that, it's just plain clean lines. it's his drawing and design skills. since you don't have the same visual library yet, try to include an extra step between the sketch for the structure and the final line art, and spend more time on figuring out the internal shapes and their relationships, it's good practice
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 26 дней назад
Tysm ✨ i'll surely look into it. I know the importance of visual libraries and shape design, and i look forwards to cover both in future videos as soon as i have gained enough insight :)

there is enough real art theft going around that people are pissed off about that you probably shouldnt call your learning method what it isnt. people will think you are being gross/unethical just from your thumbnail, even though you arent actually. the pain is too real right now to be seen as funny
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 12 дней назад
i understand where you're coming from... for now thought, it seems like i haven't received any complaints both in the comments and in the form of dislikes (which i can see on analytics) to consider changing it. most people don't seem to take offence, but i apologise if thats the case for you
@Artpunkie

I don't think anybody is saying that? Pretty sure most would agree this is learning and not stealing

everyone who steals is a good artist while ai literally does the same and gets hated for it 😂
@vikartstuf
@vikartstuf 13 дней назад
fair point fun fact: did you know that speech based AI programs are trained to "guess" the words to type one by one, based on context and the previous words? this is very interesting because there are now speculations about the speech capabilities of humans actually working the same way
@2Ferst
@2Ferst 9 дней назад
This is a reason why artists shouldn’t use the word steal and just type learn instead. Brainlet like this are everywhere don’t assume everyone know the subcontext of the word.
