@@AlwaysBeCurious_ Are you using alum? I have never had to leave material on the water for more than a few seconds.

yes, alum and carrageenan (the links mentioned in the description) and this was the first time I did it. The instructor mentioned that if we keep it for seconds we might not get strong colors and thus, asked us to leave it for more time. I might be wrong as I dont have any expertise in that.

Hi, I am not an expert but happy to help based on the class I took. Did you go through the link in the description of the video? My understanding is the liquid you used was not the right one as that needs to be pre-treated and prepared in advance.

Can you share what liquid you used and what colors for your marbling process?
