Recently I started the smoothie life trying to find a way to feel better. I'm 57, cancer survivor, very young minded. My life was at the point where I would go to work, then come home and go to bed. I had zero energy. On the second day of doing these, I had energy that I thought was FAR in the rearview. I didn't want to nap, didn't know what to do with the energy. My theory is simply this, for the past decade my diet has consisted mainly of 4 to 8 Diet Mountain Dews a day, 2 packs of doughnuts in the early morning, a sub or corn dogs for lunch, then a Stouffers meal with a canned veggie, bread and butter. And that was about it. So I do not believe I was getting even 10% of the nutrients my body needed to properly operate. The shock of having easily digestible raw materials was a shock to my body and I felt it bigtime.
SO I want this to be a journey everyone can participate in and lets try different recipes and see what tastes the best and makes us all healthier !
