So many of us live in such excess that we've become ungrateful for the blessings of a simple life. I like to look at this current situation as a wake up call ...as an awakening to our real provider Jesus Christ and to bring our priorities back into perspective as to what's really important...cuz it ain't stuff, glitz or glamor. Its faithfulness to God, family and friends. I don't know who the Jones' are...but we all need to quit trying to keep up with them and be thankful for what we have. Box under a bridge or the house on the hill...Love is still the only thing that really matters.🙏✝️🎈🦋

Have to tell you this too..our neighbors dog got lost in our community there were many groups of strangers trying to get the dog home ( shes fine) there were over 460 posts about it . After we found her someone posted ...YeeYee . in celebration of her coming home safe . I thought that was awesome !

I was born and raised in Iowa and it will always be “home” to me. We moved to Oklahoma City 5 years ago and love it. I miss the Iowa views, but not the snow, I’m ok with just getting a picture of it. Glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes God makes his point in the simplest things. ❤️💕🎈🎈🎈🎈

I had tears listening to you talk about how different our world is now. I'm very grateful. My husband survived the virus. Was pretty scary. I would watch The Smith's at night in between checking on him. Was crazy that as sick as he was and no dr visit could fix. Stay healthy and come play in wyoming.

The way Granger described the concert reminds me of when I was young and that is how concerts were. My husband was a huge Don Williams fan and said he would sit on a stool and sing. Pretty cool

Wow, take me back to that night in Iowa. It was such an unbelievable show and we had no idea as an audience that you guys had to make so many adjustments with the lights and sounds and corner stage. I think we were all grateful to just be there to see and hear you guys play again. That's a huge compliment to you and your crew putting on an amazing show regardless of all those obstacles, it just felt like a normal show. And lastly, know that you're always welcome in Iowa.

I love how every city you are in ya go out and explore the city you play like a normal person. When you were reading the text ya sent to the guys brought few tears in my eyes.. like just about every video I watch, listening to you and Amber with the knowledgeable words you give me to ponder are always spoken from the heart and taken to heart as these last few years things have done a total 180 from what it used to be and have spent 99.9% of my time alone.. I spend my time watching yours and other video to occupy my time.. thank you

I was there last October visiting my husband. He was working at a wind farm. It was so peaceful there. Not much was open for it the season had ended.

i used to play in a punk band. We played on small stages like you talked about and we played on bigger stages. we didnt care what size stage we were on, we put on the same show every time. the shows only got better when the crowd energy was feeding us. With the way things are right now you need to play every show like its a huge arena concert and roll with the punches as far as the venue goes. be forever grateful for the chance to play and treat it like you have something to prove

The swinging back and forth of the elephant is a really sad sign that the elephant is damaged, institutionalised and deeply lonely. The same as the rocking in the beds of Romanian orphans 😢

Yep, stalled horses will sway back and forth, caged parrots will pluck out their feathers from boredom....confinement is tough on a lot of creatures.

I was afraid of that being the reason when I saw that. The elephant is lonely and unhappy. So sad. Elephants are one of the animals that suffer greatly in zoos. I am not bad-mouthing zoos provided they are run well of course but I just know that elephants have a hard time. Also they grieve for their family members and their friends.

“Gratefulness is better than expectations” wow I love that 🙌🏻 That’s why we took this trip. I didn’t care about the no sleep and rearranging our plans to be able to be there at all of them. I was just grateful to be there and get to see y’all play no matter how or where the show was. I will never take a show for granted again. All the shows this past weekend were amazing. And I can’t wait to see y’all again ❤️

Wanted so bad to come to the Iowa show, but the next show will be one my 2 boys can attend. I tell myself everyday to see the gift and positivity in this time. I’ve been at home for 5 months working while teaching and taking care of my 6 year old. And now we are starting the year off virtually. Not ideal but it is what it is and we will get through it. I am grateful to have the job I have so I am able to work at home and be with him. ❤️

Hi Granger! Appreciate your more serious life talks! Doesn't surprise me that keeping the concert simple helped your performance and the audience loved it. George Strait does it so well! People of all ages come to hear him sing without any theatrical distractions. Alan Jackson is another example of singing pure country. Something to think about!

I was at that Bernies Beach bar show, it was actually in Hampton NH and it was the first show my wife and I went to and the worst venue I have ever gone to. Unless you were right in the front it was impossible to even see you to enjoy the venue. Very upsetting. We love your music and hope to see you again at a better venue.

I've been saying it all along. If people are coming to a show for the sex appeal of the stage, lights, smoke all of that BS they are coming for the wrong reasons. Just my opinion. Granger i believe we see our true selves when we are forced to return to the basics in life. Whether we are using less production equipment like you did in Iowa or in my case being disabled ( srtongly dislike the worrd "disabled") and having to give up a dream and trying to reinvent myself to make a living. I applaud you in being able to recognize that perhaps your Iowa concert was a blessing!!! I wish you all the best and God Bless! I wish i would have know you were in the area as i would have purchased tickets to see you. Im only an hour from Okoboji.

Just be thankful that you can play in front of people. Most of the greats started in tiny bars with no fancy equipment. I'm from Iowa and wish I could've made it to the gig but someone has to feed America.
