I’ve had the Deus2 for about a month now, and I really like this machine! I thought the learning curve was going to be really steep, but I’m not finding this machine Difficult to learn at all! I think the menu system is extremely logical. BYW, I found the bottle cap discriminator option very effective on the D2. Actually, with the puck, I’m thinking of getting a separate Deus2 shaft assembly and using the puck as a master remote. I’ll also have to get a separate headphone, but it might be interesting to do that. Kind of like getting two metal detectors for a bit more $$…😏
ya a lot of people think the God 2 is hard to learn .Its really not a all just watch a bunch of videos and you will get to know it pretty fast .Put some cions and pull tabs and gold silver on the ground and see what the sound of each are play with the settings and make it the sound you want to here .I thought it was easy to learn .i have had mine since i think April
That would be cool, Doug! You are right about that you can make 2 detectors for not too much more. I've been enjoying it a lot when I get to take it out!
I want to throw some pull tabs and aluminum down with some assorted gold for sure, go through some different tone settings and see if we can hear the difference. Always fun to experiment!
The Best metal detector is the one you're most comfortable with, the more you swing it, the better you'll understand it. Most will find stuff, depending most on your hunting style your detecting needs will change, i think the best detector personally is one you can set up to your site. factory defaults will make your day enjoyable, if you only dig the good sounding targets, go for it, you'll have a good relaxing dig. If your on a relic site in the iron, default settings will probably have you leaving some cool relics in the ground, you gotta pretty much dig junk to find treasure in my opinion. Cheers!
I always enjoy your videos. I like your optimistic approach!👌Also on the Deus you should check out Hans at Terra Germania. He uses a Deus and knows how to use the specific adjustments to maximize his hunts. The button could be from a hunter’s coat. They usually have a Hunt Club symbol.
Cool video.. you ever think of hunting old churches or getting permission to hunt older houses? if you google an address usually you can find out when a house or church was built or a school.. it would be awesome to find some silver coins 😀 but enjoy your videos either way.. good luck man!
Absolutely... think about it quite a lot! I've done some research and have found some good looking spots to hunt.. the issue is they are all private property fenced off with "no trespassing" signs 🤨 I've been more and more catching that relic bug.. just have to commit and try to score some permissions. Have you had some luck on old ground up near you?
It's the same for me I've kind of just got back into it after ten years I was married before and it was hard to get out and hunt now I got the Vanquish 440 a few months ago and I use the same pinpointer as you the xp mi4.. I didn't get permission but I hunted an old church that was closed down and I see homeless people around there sometimes and just risked it I found a 1965 quarter which got me excited and some older coins but no silvers im wondering if they are deeper down I used jewelry mode and I put the v12 coil on the 440 trying to go a little deeper but I'm thinking of doing some curb strips at an old school soon..
I own a Deus 1 but really wanting to get the Deus 2 so my xp mi-6 pinpointer will connect to the Deus 2 like it does my D1 but only reason I’m wanting a D2 is cuz it’s fully waterproof where my D1 is NOT! I didn’t know it when I purchased it lol. But I’m still a newbie just over 2 months in detecting and the Deus 1 is my very first metal detector I knew I wanted to start with a really good machine so I wouldn’t have to upgrade but I sure didn’t realize it wasn’t waterproof lol
Even after watching the vid I’m glad I bought the legend. You answered my big question, can you use the headphones that come with the package with puck mounted on the shaft? That is what I would have not like. Having to use a wire headphones or buy another headphone. I know I’ll be happy
I think 99 is max on the ID. Copper pennies and dimes do ID pretty high! Wonder where a nice silver quarter or half dollar would sit.. probably way up there!
