We take on learning how to cross country ski on hills for the first time in Winthrop, WA on the Methow trail system. Unable to visit family during Christmas 2020, we decided to spend our holiday in a nice little winter wonderland part of our state. In the past we've tended to almost hibernate during the winter, preferring to do summer outdoor activities but we are trying to opt outside this winter. We now love this new winter sport and wish we had started sooner!

Aww thank you!!! It was a bit more challenging to film, especially taking off a drone in the snow, but it was a fun challenge 🙌🏼

That place is so beautiful! Washington has always been one of our favorite states! This might be a dumb question, but what is the difference between cross country ski and just regular ski? We are from Texas and have never been skiing before, but plan to do some in Colorado in a few weeks! To me, it looks more like hiking on skis?!

Hi! Yes, cross country skiing is kinda like hiking on skiis. However, the downhills are more fun! They use different kind of skiis that are long and thin compared to downhill skiing. It’s been a fun new sport :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
