Excellent video guys, and perfect timing from my point of view. Tomorrow my own sailing life begins with my mentor and I taking my newly acquired yacht off the mooring ball for the first time. Not going far, just to a disused jetty to clean the hull ( she’s a bilge keeler , a 1970 Centaur). Thanks for the lesson by proxy. Cheers Terry, keep it up lad.

I worked in a marina when I was a teenager. Moved boats all day with the only instructions being: go slow and use micro movements. A little forward and a little reverse. Weaving boats through the marina that cost more than I'd make in a decade there.

I just had to say, brilliant, just brilliant. Yoda was so calm. I find the morning up the most stressful part of sailing, and there was a few time I had my heart in my mouth, but yoda clear used the force.

Really enjoyed that episode with Dave 👍🏻 Learnt a few tips for myself, That thing with your throttle? There are two cables, one to select gears and one to select engine revs in that controller, Is that what you meant?

I had this exact same lesson, youre doing it! keep the momentum flowing.

My long fin keel always just decides which way to turn, never knew why and i dread reversing out of a berth. This was really really helpful actually as a solo sailor liveaboard these tips are all very good!

What an excellent teacher!! The way he had you handling the boat in a very short time was just amazing to watch. I am sure that if you just continue and remember the advice given, you will be able to moor up anywhere. Brilliant video mate👏👏👏👏

Very cool chanel. I've just started watching and I'm having so much fun 😂 I used to sail dinghies when I was a teen back in my home country. I want to buy a small yacht just like you but as I am a new father I couldn't just leave my job so it won't be to live in the boat. My question is how much does it cost ? Mooring, insurance, maintenance, do I need a license if so how much is it ?

What is this "sailboat" thing? We're not Americans! Otherwise a nice episode. I'm impressed with all your sailing efforts as it all seems quite complicated to begin with and boats are so expensive to maintain. If you're ever on the Isle of Wight I'll buy you a drink.
